We hear your fear and your cry for help and we join together with you before the throne of God in prayer, for we know how overwhelming it is to face the possibility of losing a part of your body and we do not take your suffering lightly.
We want to gently remind you that we come to God only through Jesus Christ, for it is by His name that we have access to the Father and it is by His name that we are saved. You asked for powerful prayer but did not mention Jesus, and we want you to know the power is not in our words but in Him alone. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 And also, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 If you have not yet put your trust in Him, we encourage you to believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name for salvation and for help in this very hour of need.
The fear you are feeling is very real, but God does not want you to be overcome by it. The Scripture says, For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 And also, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10 When we are afraid, we are called to put our trust in Him, for it is written, When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. Psalm 56:3
We also know that God is the healer and that He cares for your body. He says, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17 And, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3 We do not know what the doctors have told you or what condition has led to the discussion of amputation, but we know God is sovereign and He is able to intervene, to provide wisdom to the physicians, and to give you peace whatever the outcome. We encourage you to continue to seek the best medical counsel you can, to ask questions, to seek a second opinion if possible, and to follow the wisdom God gives to skilled doctors, for He often works through them.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we lift up this precious one who is filled with fear at the thought of losing their leg. Lord, You see their anxiety and their tears, and You are near to the brokenhearted. We ask first that You would pour out Your peace upon them, that peace which surpasses all understanding. As Your word says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 Let that peace guard their heart and mind right now.
Lord, we ask for Your mercy upon their leg and their body. If it is Your will, we pray You would bring healing and restoration so that amputation would not be necessary. Lay Your healing hand upon them, reduce infection or disease, restore circulation and tissue, and do what only You can do. If an operation must proceed, we pray You would guide the hands of the surgeons and medical staff, give them wisdom and skill, and provide a good recovery. We pray for freedom from pain, for provision for medical needs, and for comfort to their family and loved ones.
Above all, we pray they would feel Your presence and know that You will never leave them nor forsake them, and that whether in healing or in walking a difficult road, You will uphold them with Your righteous right hand. Give them courage, give them trust, and give them a testimony of Your grace. We ask all of this in the powerful and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Healer. Amen.

Your trembling heart has been heard, and there is a word from the Lord for you in this hour of great fear. Comfort ye, comfort ye, saith your God. He speaks to His people to comfort one another, and His word to you now is comfort.
Do not think that you are alone in this trial. It is written, the angel of the Lord encampeth round them that fear him, and they are all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister unto them who are heirs of salvation. The Lord Himself is nigh unto you, even as you wait for the physician's hand.
I know your fear is great at the thought of the cutting off of your leg. Fear is natural to our frailty, but there is a greater power to which you may trust. The very power that permits this affliction is the power to which you must look for help. Hear this and take comfort, for the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and the least thing about Christ is healing. Even His leaves are full of healing virtue to change the life blood and make the nature new.
What you are called to now is simply to trust Him. Only trust Him, only trust Him. Do not say, Lord, I cannot trust You unless I feel brave or feel well. That is to make a god out of your feelings. As a sick man trusts an eminent physician with his case, so you must trust your soul and your body with Jesus. They that trust in Him shall not be ashamed nor confounded. Trust Him as you sink and you shall swim. Trust Him as you feel yourself dying and you shall live. He is able to save all who trust Him, though it were a million souls.
This is my comfort in my affliction, for Thy word hath quickened me. Let the external comfort of the Christian be the Word of God, and the internal comfort be the Spirit who quickens you by that Word. God does not always give comfort by a distinct act alone, but He quickens you and so you obtain comfort. Take His Word and hold it fast, for it will quicken and sustain you through seas of trouble without fear.

O Great Physician, Lord Jesus Christ, look in mercy upon this fearful and afflicted one. Thou art the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in Thy wings, and pardon and healing are one in Thy hand. Forgive all sin through Thy precious blood, for salvation is through Thee alone, and speak peace to this troubled heart. Lay Thy hand upon this suffering body. Guide the hands of those who must operate, and if it be Thy will, spare and heal. If the leg must be taken, grant sustaining grace, and comfort the heart and establish it in every good word and work, that comfort and constancy may be joined together. Let this dear one know whom they have believed, and that Thou art able to keep that which is committed unto Thee. Give a calm trust that does not depend on feeling, but rests wholly on Thee. Let Thy Word quicken and comfort now, and let Thy presence be felt as near and real. In Thy name, who livest and healest still, Amen.

Your cry has been heard, and we are praying for you in this hour of great fear about your leg.
The Lord knows your trembling and your pain. Scripture calls Him the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction. As sufferings abound, so also comfort abounds through Christ, and He is near to you now not as a distant observer but as one who draws close to comfort your heart. Jesus Himself says, take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. He also says to those who are afraid, be not afraid.
We are praying for you now:
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. You see the fear about the operation on the leg and the heaviness of this trial. We ask for Your mercy and Your peace that passes all understanding to guard heart and mind. We ask for Your hand to be upon the doctors and all who will provide care, to give them wisdom and skill. We ask for Your comfort to abound in this suffering, for Your presence to be felt, and for strength for each step ahead. Lord, bring healing according to Your will, ease pain, and let this child of Yours know that You will never leave nor forsake them.
