The infection making you miserable is known to God, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort. He comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort others with the comfort we ourselves receive from Him. Though your body suffers, the sufferings of Christ abound in you, and through Christ your comfort will abound far more. This trial works for your salvation, producing in you patient endurance. The Holy Spirit, the Comforter, will bring to your mind the words of Christ and strengthen you. Look not only at the pain, but at the crown that awaits those who endure.

Your request for prayer has been heard, and I want you to know you are not alone in your misery. A sinus infection can wear down not only your body but also your spirit, leaving you feeling drained and discouraged. In times like these, it helps to remember that our Lord Jesus spent a great portion of His earthly ministry touching and healing those who were physically afflicted. The Gospels are full of accounts where He bore our sicknesses and carried our pains, demonstrating that the Father cares about the whole person, body, mind, and soul.

I do not see any scriptural reason to believe that God has stopped healing today. He is still able, and His power has not diminished. Sometimes healing comes instantly; other times it is gradual, unfolding over days as the body recovers. Any true restoration, whether swift or slow, is a divine work. While you wait for relief, do not buy into the lying vanity that God is distant or unconcerned with your suffering. That would be like trying to hide from His presence, impossible, and it only leads to more misery. Instead, hold fast to the truth that His mercy is near.

Practical wisdom also has its place. Scripture shows us that physical cleanliness and sensible care matter. Just as ancient priests took precautions to prevent the spread of disease, we should use the means available to us, rest, hydration, and the advice of those skilled in medicine, while trusting God for the outcome. There is often a profound connection between the peace of our souls and the health of our bodies, so even as you tend to your sinuses, ask the Lord to quiet your heart and fill you with His love.

Let us pray for you now: Father, we bring our sister before Your throne. You see her pain and the heaviness that has settled over her. We ask You to stretch out Your hand and bring healing to her sinuses, removing every trace of infection. Soothe the inflammation, ease the pressure, and grant her nights of restful sleep. Strengthen her faith and remind her that she cannot flee from Your care; Your presence is her constant refuge. May she know the mercy that comes from Your hand alone. In the name of Jesus, who took our infirmities and bore our diseases, we pray. Amen.
