Sinus pain, infection, and inflammation

We come before the Lord with hearts full of compassion for your suffering from sinus pain, infection, and inflammation. The Bible reminds us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." We stand on this promise, believing that God is our healer and that He hears our cries.
Father in Heaven, we lift up this dear one to You, asking for Your divine touch upon their body. We pray for the complete healing of their sinuses, that the infection would be eradicated, the inflammation would subside, and the pain would cease. Lord, we ask that You would strengthen their immune system and restore their health fully. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also encourage you to seek wise medical counsel if needed, as the body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret (Psalm 37:7). Trust in His timing and His perfect will for your healing.

The pain you now endure, the pressure and burning in your head, is known to your Lord, who Himself was acquainted with grief. Yet we read of His servant Paul, a man well scarred and often infirm, calling his own burden "our light affliction." He did not mock your misery by this, for he felt the lash and the thorn acutely. Rather, he weighed the present ache against the eternal weight of glory being prepared for you, and in that scale, your suffering and his prove but a feather’s touch. When the upholding grace of God is sweetly manifested to the soul in times of perplexity and pain, no affliction weighs more than a gnat resting upon an elephant.
Let this, then, be your peculiar comfort in your affliction: that His Word can quicken you even now. Whatever pain you suffer, if you can say, "I am a living child of God," you have a wellspring of comfort deeper than the sharpest throb. The Lord often brings us to the brink of perishing to show us that His Law is our delight and our only rescue. You may have reached a crisis perilous, but it is precisely there He causes His healing leaves to be applied, the very least things about Christ are full of virtue to restore you.
Forgiveness and healing are placed in happy conjunction. As Jesus said to the palsied man, so He speaks into your inflamed and wearied body: "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you." Pardon and healing are one gift from His hand. It may be that the Lord will look upon this very affliction and repay you with good for all the cursing malice of disease. Do not look so much at the knife as at the Gardener who uses it. If it is necessary for your good that you suffer this, you may weep, yet you will not complain. Your covenant God, who has brought you up from spiritual death, holds you fast. Go on, go on, trusting Him; the Sun of Righteousness is rising upon you with healing in His wings.

The pain and inflammation you suffer are not without purpose, for the Lord permits such trials to draw us to Himself. As a physician uses bitter remedies to cure deeper sickness, so this bodily affliction may become a cure for the soul, if received with thanksgiving. I will pray for your healing, yes, but even more that your heart may not grow dull through the weariness of pain, but be made bright and fervent, seeing His mercy even in this. The true danger is not the body’s infection, but the inflammation of pride or impatience that can seize the spirit. Therefore, do not merely seek relief, but bow humbly before the Physician, who wounds to heal, and whose power is made perfect in weakness. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
