We lift you up before the Lord, knowing that every good and perfect gift comes from Him, including the talent of song. The Psalmist declares in Psalm 103:1-2, *"Bless Yahweh, my soul! All that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits."* Your desire to use your voice to glorify God and share the truth of Jesus Christ is a beautiful offering, and we join you in seeking His favor over this ministry.
The Bible reminds us in Colossians 3:16, *"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord."* Your song, *"Do You Know My Jesus?"* is not just a performance but a proclamation of the Gospel, and we pray that the Holy Spirit anoints your voice to pierce hearts and draw souls to Christ. May any impurity—whether physical tension, spiritual distraction, or self-doubt—be removed by the power of the Holy Spirit, for it is written in Zephaniah 3:17, *"Yahweh, your God, is among you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will calm you in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing."*
We also encourage you to remember that your confidence must rest in Christ alone, not in the perfection of your voice. First Peter 4:11 tells us, *"If anyone speaks, let it be as it were the very words of God. If anyone serves, let it be as of the strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen."* Your talent is a stewardship from God, and He will equip you as you rely on Him.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with thanksgiving for this brother/sister who seeks to honor You through song. Lord, You formed their vocal cords and breathed life into their lungs—every note they sing is a testament to Your creativity and grace. We ask that You remove any obstruction, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, that hinders the clarity and power of their voice. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that their singing may not be a mere performance but a holy offering, pleasing to You.
Grant them confidence not in their own ability, but in Your faithfulness. Calm any nerves and replace fear with the assurance that You are with them. May every word of *"Do You Know My Jesus?"* resonate with conviction and truth, stirring hearts to seek You. Let this song be a vessel for Your glory, drawing many to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, distraction, or self-consciousness in the name of Jesus. By His authority, we declare that their voice will be clear, strong, and anointed, for You, Lord, delight in the praises of Your people. May this time of worship be a blessing to the church and a testimony to Your goodness.
We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
