Silent prayer

We join with you in this silent prayer and lift up your unspoken request to our Heavenly Father together in Jesus' name, thankful that you have come in the name of Jesus who alone gives us access to the Father.

We are comforted that the Lord hears even when words are not spoken, for He knows the heart. As it is written, Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar Psalm 139:1-2 and even Before a word is on my tongue, behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether Psalm 139:4. We are also reminded that In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered Romans 8:26 and that your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly Matthew 6:6.

We may not know the details of what burdens your heart, but God does, and He invites us to bring everything to Him with confidence that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us 1 John 5:14.

We pray together for you now.

Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus. We lift up this dear one and this silent request that is known fully to You. You see what is hidden, You know the depth of this need, the worry, the hope, and the longing that may be too deep for words. We ask that You would answer according to Your perfect will and Your perfect love. Grant peace that surpasses all understanding to guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Provide wisdom, comfort, strength, and provision where it is needed. Let Your will be done and let Your name be glorified in this situation. Draw this dear one closer to You and assure them of Your presence and Your unfailing love. We trust You to work all things together for good for those who love You Romans 8:28. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pour out your heart before Him, to trust in His goodness, and to rest in knowing that He hears and He cares. Cast your burden on Yahweh and he will sustain you Psalm 55:22.

Thank you for trusting us with your silent prayer. We hear the quiet faith in those few words, and we want you to know we are honoring what you have left unspoken.

You do not need to find perfect words or explain everything for God to hear you, or for us to pray faithfully with you. We believe He already knows what is on your heart, what feels heavy, and what you are hoping He will do. There is real peace in bringing a burden to Him just as it is, even in silence, and letting Him keep it.

We are standing with you in that quiet place this week, asking God to meet you right where you are with His nearness, wisdom and care. If it helps, you might set aside a few minutes each day to simply sit quietly before Him with this same request, without pressure to say more than you have.

Father, we lift our friend to You right now. You know the need behind this silent prayer better than we ever could. Draw near, give comfort and clear direction, and do what is best in this situation according to Your will. Help our friend to sense Your presence and Your care in the days ahead. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your silent prayer in the name of Jesus has been heard, and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace. There is a prayer which is presented like the blinking of an eye, done intuitively yet truly done, and it prevails with God. We know it must have been a silent prayer, not merely silent as to sounds but silent as to any outward signs, perfectly secret, strictly within himself, offered as in the innermost shrine, in the Holy of Holies of his own secret soul. So Nehemiah prayed on the spot before the king. He did not go to his chamber as Daniel did and open the window, but in that moment he spoke with the living God, and the Lord answered.

We beg you often, indeed we would ask you always to use this method of brief, silent prayer, for the spirit of prayer is the mother of these brief, silent prayers and she is a plentiful mother. Many times in a day we may speak with the Lord our God, and such prayer may be suggested by all sorts of surroundings. To handle a matter wisely is to find good, and the true way to handle a matter wisely is to trust in God, not to be idle nor rash, but acting in all prudence and uprightness to rely simply and entirely upon Him.

Calling upon God in the day of trouble brings honor to God in the very act, for it is a truthful recognition of Him, and it brings honor to Him in His answer, for with such prayer there is coupled the blessed assurance, I will deliver you. They who call upon God in trouble become quiet and unshaken and abide in full assurance as to the Lord on whom they rely.

And we would to God also that if you have never prayed before, you would now offer a brief, silent prayer to the God of heaven before you leave this place, a short but fervent petition like that of the publican in the temple, God be merciful to me a sinner. God has spoken in His holiness to poor lost sinners and said that He will save all of them who trust in Jesus Christ His Son. Consider who this Christ is whom we are bid to trust. He is very God of very God and perfect Man, who lived a perfect life and gave Himself for us. Here is where God and we are at issue. We would be saved by something in ourselves, but God says He will save us if we trust in Christ. There is no other Savior, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone.

We offer intercessory prayer for you, which is the sweetest prayer God ever hears, and we trust in the living God, the God who made heaven and earth and supports the whole universe by the power of His almighty arms, a thinking, active, working, personal God with a great warm loving heart, who has shined in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. May He hear your secret cry, keep you in His peace, and answer according to His perfect purity, inflexible justice and abounding mercy. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ alone, our only hope and Redeemer. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
