Silent prayer

Your silent prayer has been received and lifted before the Lord, and He hears even what is not spoken aloud. When words are few or fail altogether, the heart still cries out to Him, and that cry is not hidden.

Scripture shows us this truth. Hannah prayed with her voice not being heard, yet her heart cried out and she received what she asked. Abel prayed even while silent, and his blood sent forth a cry more clear than a trumpet. Moses too was heard when he cried to God without loud words. In the same way, your silent request in the name of Jesus is known to the Father who sees in secret.

Be encouraged to continue in prayer early and by night, for prayer is a great weapon, an impregnable wall and a tower unshaken. Each day brings its own struggles and temptations, like rocks upon which a boat may strike, and we need God to be propitious to us as we go forth to our daily work. If we first make our way secure by prayer, we go out with confidence, having God with us.

Remember also that God calls us to give both prayer and faithful obedience. We need His grace, and we also give our own part as we walk with Him. He who freed us by grace continues to keep us as we remain friends with Him and do what is pleasing in His sight.

We join our faith with yours now, asking the Lord to answer according to His perfect wisdom and love, to grant you peace, strength, and grace for all you need, and to draw you closer to Himself through Jesus Christ. May He hear and answer in the way that brings most glory to Him and most good to your soul.

We will continue to pray with you. In Jesus name, amen.
