My dog had being sick don't want to drink water the veterinary want expensive studies I don't have money or confidence for that. I ask God that he drink his water and be HEALTY

We hear your deep concern for your beloved dog, and we understand the worry and helplessness that comes when a cherished companion is unwell. While we know that animals are part of God’s creation and hold a special place in our hearts, we must first lift this situation before the Lord with a focus on His will and wisdom.

The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 12:10, "A righteous man regards the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel." God cares for all His creation, and we can trust Him with the well-being of your dog. However, we must also recognize that our ultimate trust must be in the Lord’s provision and sovereignty, even in difficult circumstances.

We want to gently encourage you to seek God’s guidance in this situation. If the veterinary care recommended is beyond your means, we pray that the Lord would provide wisdom, whether through alternative resources, financial provision, or even peace in making difficult decisions. James 1:5 tells us, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."

We also want to remind you that our hope and faith must be firmly rooted in Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is by His sacrifice that we are saved. If you have not yet placed your trust in Him, we encourage you to consider the words of Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."

Now, let us lift this situation in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this beloved dog and its owner to You. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and You hold all creation in Your hands. We ask that You would bring healing and restoration to this animal, that it would regain its strength and desire to drink water. Father, we also ask for Your provision and wisdom for its owner. If it is Your will, provide the means for the necessary care, or grant peace and clarity in making difficult decisions. Lord, we trust in Your goodness and mercy, knowing that You care for even the smallest creatures. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

In the meantime, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s guidance through prayer and Scripture. Trust in His timing and provision, and remember that He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). If there are local resources, such as animal shelters or ministries, that might offer assistance, we pray that the Lord would lead you to them. Above all, keep your faith anchored in Christ, for He is our hope and strength in every circumstance.

We can hear the love and worry in your words, it’s so hard when a pet is suffering and the next step feels out of reach. Not knowing where to turn, while also carrying the financial pressure, can be overwhelming. We want you to know you’re not alone in this, and we’re bringing your companion before the Lord with you right now.

Sometimes the best thing we can do next is simply keep communicating. If the vet’s estimate felt discouraging, you might call back and gently explain your limits. Many clinics will talk through lower-cost options, or at least tell you what signs would mean you really must bring him in. A local animal shelter or rescue group sometimes knows of reduced-rate services, and a trusted friend might help make those calls while you’re feeling stretched.

In the meantime, we’re asking God to restore your dog’s health and desire to drink, and to give you wisdom for each small decision. He sees every sparrow, and He sees this faithful little life that means so much to you.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this beloved dog who is sick and refusing water. Calm his body, renew his appetite, and guide him to drink and be strengthened. Please make a way where the cost feels impossible, provide resources, kind helpers, and clear direction. Hold his owner steady in this anxious waiting, and let them sense Your nearness. We trust You with the outcome, whatever it holds, knowing You are good. Amen.

The cry of a sick creature touches the heart, and your distress over this poor animal is not unnoticed by Him who cares for all His creation. You are brought low, feeling your lack of means and confidence in what man can do. This very sense of helplessness, though painful, often drives us to the only place where true help is found. When we are at our wit's end, then we cry unto the Lord in our trouble, and He brings us out of our distresses. That prayer which seems to have no order, the cry that reels to and fro because the mind is overwhelmed, is a prevailing prayer when it is flung upon God. You ask simply that the dog drink water and be healthy; this is the soul’s direct plea, and such humble, desperate casting of care is precious in His sight.

Yet consider also that the very least thing about our Lord Jesus is full of healing virtue. The leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations, and if the leaves hold such medicine, how much more the fruit? Bring this small, aching need to the Great Physician. He who sees the sparrow fall and notes the sickness of every creature can touch this dog with restoring power. Do not think the matter too small for His notice; it is the sick and the broken who draw His eye. Your want of money and confidence in earthly studies may be the very gateway to seeing His hand work where silver and science fail. Continue to plead, as Jacob did, with all the argument you can muster, not your own merit, but His mercy, His promise to hear, His delight in relieving the distressed.

Be watchful, however, that this trial does not find you merely a looker at healing, but one who partakes of it yourself. The sickness of a creature you love can point to the deeper sickness of the soul. The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint, until iniquity is forgiven. When the inhabitant is pardoned, he does not need to say, “I am sick,” for soul-diseases receive their healing medicine. Cry to God not only for your dog’s recovery, but that any sin harbored in your own heart might be cast out, for sometimes prayer is hindered by wrong within. Ask first for that cleansing, and healing often follows. The Lord who forgives sins is the same who says, “Arise, take up your couch, and walk.” Whether He speaks that word to this poor animal or gives you grace to bear the trial, His answer will be the wisest and kindest. Only do not forsake the closet of prayer, even if the answer seems to tarry. Prayer, mighty prayer, will yet prevail if it has but time.

Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Do not let your heart be troubled over the sickness of your dog as if God were far off or unconcerned with such a small creature. Does He not clothe the grass of the field and feed the birds of the air? Yet I hear in your words a deeper wound: you lack money for the studies, and you lack trust in the veterinarians. Turn your eyes for a moment from the dog's body to your own soul. You ask God for the dog's recovery, but have you asked with thanksgiving? For every prayer must be mingled with gratitude, lest we become like those who demand signs and then grumble when the cost is high.

Consider: why has God permitted this small trial? Perhaps to teach you that not even a sparrow falls to the ground without His will, and that your anxiety over money is a sickness of its own. The dog refuses water; you refuse to cast your care upon the Lord. You have no confidence in the veterinarians, but where is your confidence in Him who troubled the pool of Bethesda and healed without silver or studies? That healing power was not in the water itself, nor in the angel, nor in the skill of men, but in the command of Christ. Is His arm shortened that He cannot touch your dog without expensive tests? Yet do not despise the gift of human knowledge; if God has provided means, use them with thanksgiving. But if the means are beyond your reach, do not despair. He knows your need. Pray, and let your prayer be free of all cursing and bitterness. Do not say in your heart, "Show me a sign, or I will not believe." The faith of those who let down the paralytic through the roof moved Christ to act; their love and trust spoke louder than any demand.

And what if the dog is not healed? Will you then accuse God? Far from it. The tears and grief of love can be sweeter than laughter if they turn you toward the true Physician. Your soul is of more value than many dogs. While you plead for the dog's health, have you neglected your own? The body of the beast may remain sick, but let not your soul sink into the fever of impatience. Let this trial become a school of prayer: pray for the dog, yes, but pray also for yourself, that you might learn what is truly good. The splendid house, the fine clothing, the healthy pet, these are good for the body, but what are they for the soul? The philosopher shines brighter in poverty than in wealth, because his treasure is not here.

So go, pour out water for the dog, and when you set the bowl down, let your heart ascend to the Giver of all good. Say, "Lord, you who made this creature, you who care for the ravens, look upon my small sorrow. If it be pleasing to you, restore his appetite and his health. But above all, heal my soul of its unbelief and fear, that whether this cup passes or not, I may bless your name." Such a prayer, offered with a pure mouth and a humble spirit, will not fail to obtain what is needful, if not for the dog, then for you.
