We join you in prayer for healing and for protection over your breathing and over your nephew as he has started school, and we are thankful you brought this request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12.
We know how difficult it is to struggle with a bad cold especially when you also live with asthma, and how concerning it is to see a little one sneezing as he begins school. We take comfort that our God is the healer and that He cares for every detail of our bodies. Scripture reminds us that He forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases Psalm 103:3 and that He is Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26. We are also reminded that by His stripes we are healed Isaiah 53:5 and His promise that I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We also hold to the encouragement, Beloved, we pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers 3 John 1:2.
We pray together for you and your nephew now. Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus and lift up our dear one who is sick with this cold and who struggles with asthma. We ask for Your healing touch upon the lungs, the airways, and the whole body. Ease the congestion, calm the inflammation, restore easy breathing, and prevent any further complications. Grant wisdom to use the means You have provided for care, rest, and treatment, and grant peace that passes understanding as we trust You Philippians 4:6-7. We also lift up the nephew, we ask that You touch him and cause this sneezing and whatever sickness is trying to take hold to leave quickly. Protect him as he has started school, guard him from infection, strengthen his immune system, and keep him healthy and strong throughout this school year. We pray that whatever has caused these symptoms in both of them would go away quickly and completely, according to Your will, and that You would be glorified in their restored health. We ask that You help them to rest, to stay hydrated, and to steward their bodies well while trusting fully in You as our healer. The prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15. We ask all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Healer, amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring every concern to the Lord, to rest as you are able, to care for your breathing with the wisdom and tools your doctors have provided, and to trust that God hears and cares. We stand with you believing for quick healing and ongoing protection for you both, and we thank God that He is near to those who call upon Him.
