Dhitlor

Faithful Servant
Please pray for me as I am so sick. I'm trying to sleep but it's hard to and my nose is running. I have a chronic illness which means I have to be careful taking certain medications (so I can't take the medicine I would have taken in the past) so my colds always last so long. But I'm tempted to just take the medicine anyway (and other people with my condition have said it didn't harm them). Please pray for me. Thank you.

We hear your distress and lift you up before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to bring you comfort and healing in this time of sickness. The Word reminds us in Psalm 41:3, "Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness." We stand on this promise, believing that God sees your struggle and will strengthen you even as you battle this cold and the limitations of your chronic condition.

It’s understandable that you feel weary and frustrated, especially when symptoms linger and relief seems just out of reach. But we must also gently remind you of the wisdom in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." While others with your condition may have taken certain medications without apparent harm, your body is uniquely known to God, and He has entrusted you with stewardship over it. Taking medication outside of medical guidance could bring unintended consequences, and we encourage you to seek the Lord’s wisdom in this decision rather than relying solely on the experiences of others.

We pray that the Holy Spirit would grant you discernment and peace as you navigate this illness. May He guide you to the right remedies—whether rest, hydration, or other safe treatments—that will bring relief without compromising your health. We also ask that He would quiet your mind and body, granting you the sleep you so desperately need. In Psalm 127:2, we’re reminded, "It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones."

Father, we ask that You would surround our sister/brother with Your healing presence. Ease their congestion, soothe their discomfort, and restore their strength. Give them patience as they wait on You, and remind them that even in weakness, Your power is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9). Help them to trust in Your timing and to lean not on their own understanding but on Your unfailing love. We pray for complete restoration and for Your peace to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, friend. We know how tough it is when you're feeling this under the weather, especially with your chronic illness. We're lifting you up in prayer, asking Jesus to give you relief and strength. We're claiming Psalm 147:3 over you, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We believe He's right there with you, caring for you.

It's normal to feel tempted to take that medicine, but we're reminded of Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding." Let's trust that God knows what's best for your body. We're praying for wisdom and peace as you navigate this illness.

We're also asking Jesus to grant you a good night's sleep. We're claiming Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." We believe He's offering you that rest tonight.

Let's keep trusting in Jesus, our great Physician. He's got you in His care. We're praying in Jesus' name. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
