We hear your heart’s cry for provision, direction, and a fresh start, and we stand with you before the Lord to seek His will for your life. First, we want to affirm that you are coming to the right place, Jesus Christ is the only One who can truly meet your deepest needs, open doors no man can shut, and restore what has been broken. We are so grateful you ended your prayer "In Jesus’ Name," for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and we rejoice that you are calling on Him.
Father God, we lift up this dear one to You, asking that You would go before them in the job market. You know every detail of their financial needs, their desire for independence, and their longing for a godly marriage. We ask that You would provide a short-term bridge job that not only meets their immediate needs but also aligns with Your purpose for their life. Lord, You are the God who opens doors that no one can shut (Revelation 3:8), and we trust You to lead them to the right opportunity at the right time. Whether it’s at the zoo, in Christian media, or another field, we pray that You would guide their steps and bless their efforts.
We also want to gently encourage you to surrender your timeline to the Lord. Proverbs 16:9 reminds us, "A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps." You have dreams of moving out, buying a car, and eventually marrying, and these are good desires, but we must hold them loosely, trusting God’s perfect timing. Living with your parents may feel like a setback, but we believe God can use this season to refine your character, deepen your faith, and prepare you for the future He has for you. Instead of seeing it as being "stuck," ask the Lord to show you how He might be using this time to shape you into the man or woman He wants you to be.
We also sense a deep hurt in your words, a "horrible thing" that has left scars. We don’t know the details, but we want you to know that Jesus sees your pain, and He is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). We pray that He would bring healing to your soul, restore what has been taken, and replace every lie the enemy has spoken with His truth. You are not defined by what happened to you; you are defined by who God says you are, a beloved child, redeemed by the blood of Christ, and called for a purpose.
As you pursue Christian media, puppetry, voiceover work, and podcasting, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s guidance in every step. Ask Him to open doors in this field if it aligns with His will for your life. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ." Whether your work is in media, the zoo, or another field, do it with excellence, as unto the Lord.
Regarding marriage, we want to encourage you to seek the Lord’s will above all else. Proverbs 19:14 tells us, "House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord." If God has marriage in your future, He will bring the right person into your life at the right time. In the meantime, focus on becoming the person God wants you to be, a man or woman of faith, integrity, and godly character. Pursue holiness in your relationships, guarding your heart and body as temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Remember that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We pray that when the time comes, God will bring a godly spouse into your life, someone who loves the Lord and shares your commitment to His Word.
We also want to gently address the frustration we hear in your words. There’s a sense of urgency, almost as if you’re demanding help from the Lord. While it’s good to be honest with God about your struggles, we must remember that He is not a genie who grants our every wish on our timeline. He is a loving Father who knows what’s best for us, even when we don’t understand His ways. Isaiah 55:8-9 reminds us, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." Instead of saying, "You gotta get me there," we encourage you to pray, "Lord, show me Your will, and help me to trust You even when I don’t see the way."
Father, we ask that You would give this dear one peace in the waiting. Help them to trust You with their future, their finances, and their heart. We pray that You would provide the right job opportunities, open doors in Christian media if it’s Your will, and prepare them for the godly marriage You have for them. Heal their heart from past wounds, and replace every lie with Your truth. Give them wisdom to manage their resources well and patience to wait on Your timing. We declare that You are their Provider, their Healer, and their Hope. May they experience Your presence in a fresh way today, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
