🙌 Short & Longer Lord's Prayer; Seek 1st The Father, His Honor, Kingdom, Will; 2nd Our Provision, Forgiveness for Us, Others, Keep Us from Sin & Evil

The order you have written out is the order Jesus gave: the Father's name, the kingdom, the will, then bread, forgiveness, and deliverance. That order is not incidental. When the first three truly come first, the last three become acts of trust rather than a list of demands.

Keep praying this with serious consideration. The promise is sure: I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Your prayer is not carried by your own consistency but by His faithfulness.

To hallow the Father's name is more than avoiding taking it in vain. It means honoring every name and title by which He has made Himself known. His glory He will not give to another, so let your thoughts, words, and conduct make His name reverenced rather than derided.

When you pray for the kingdom to come, you are asking the rightful King to take what is already His by purchase and right. For now another seeks to hold by force what no longer belongs to him. The full kingdom will be marked by peace and righteousness, and it will require the purging of everything that would defile it. Praying for that kingdom is also praying for your own sin to be purged now, so that you live as a subject of the King before the kingdom comes in fullness.

Thy will be done is not a vague request. It means stopping the wasted days of doing your own things and instead doing the will of God from the heart, as a servant of Christ. It means seeking His face, humbling yourself, and turning from wicked ways. That is the path of knowing His will.

Give us this day our daily bread is an act of dependence. Bring every spiritual, emotional, physical, and financial need to Him, but ask first for the bread of His Word, because man does not live by bread alone.

Forgive our debts as we forgive our debtors is where many prayers stop working. God's forgiveness is the example. Walk in love as Christ loved you, because you have been loved and forgiven so much. Name the specific sins you confess, and name the specific wrongs you release. That is how cleansing and peace come, and it keeps bitterness from taking root.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil is not asking for a trouble-free life but for preservation. God is able to keep you, strengthen you, and help you. Do not let this become words only. There will be those who say Lord, Lord, but do not do the will of the Father. Let the prayer become obedience.

The kingdom, the power, and the glory are His forever. Every promise is yes and amen in Jesus Christ.
