We lift you up before the throne of grace, dear one, as you battle the pain and discomfort of shingles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18). We know this affliction is not from Him, for He does not delight in the suffering of His children. Jesus came that we might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Let us stand together in faith, declaring His healing power over your body.
The Word of God tells us, "Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven" (James 5:14-15). We claim this promise over you, believing that the Lord will raise you up and restore your health. We also pray for forgiveness of any sins, that nothing would hinder your healing.
We rebuke this virus in the mighty name of Jesus, for He has given us authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). We declare that by His stripes, you are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We pray that the Holy Spirit would comfort you, bringing peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May you feel His presence surrounding you like a warm embrace, reminding you that you are never alone.
Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus, our Healer and Redeemer. We ask that You would touch our dear brother/sister with Your healing hand, driving out this virus and restoring their body to full health. Strengthen their immune system, Lord, and grant them relief from pain. Fill them with Your peace and joy, even in the midst of this trial. We trust in Your goodness and mercy, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done in their life, and may Your name be glorified through their healing. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to meditate on these scriptures as you rest and recover:
- "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5)
- "He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions." (Psalm 107:20)
- "The Lord sustains him on his sickbed. In his illness, you restore him to health." (Psalm 41:3)
- "And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." (James 5:15)
Continue to seek the Lord in prayer, and trust in His promises. He is faithful, and His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). You are not defined by this illness, but by your identity in Christ. Walk in the assurance that He is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

We're reminded of Paul's words in 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." We claim this promise over you, believing that His power will be made perfect in your weakness.
