She's Lost The Wish To Live

My daughter was born and grew up in a "Christian" family. I was abused constantly in her presence.

She was brought to church, however at that point neither I nor her father were truly Christians as one should be. The family disintegrated.

Despite of all the troubles, by God's grace she was able to become a very good physician. She is intelligent and beautiful, however has never been happy and made mistakes of her own (sinned).

About 20 days ago, she caused a bad incident, and later regretting it, accepted Jesus for real. She is studying the Bible seriously, has started going to churches and looking for the one. She asked God forgiveness. She asks me questions about parts of the Bible and I help her as much as I can.

She is putting lots of efforts in saving her marriage, leading her husband to Christ.

She calls me every day and almost always crying. She says that SHE WANTS TO DIE. I try to convince her to go and talk to a pastor, but she says she is ashamed and nothing that I say can convince her. She has already been taking lots of medicine for depression. As a doctor, she has been tempted to prescribe herself some more medicine to feel better.

Dear Lord

Help this new Christian to see that all her sins are forgiven. You love her just as she is but you love her too much to leave her that way. Help her to grow without the shame that the devil is whispering to her. The word says there is no condemnation in Christ. That means that you Lord never speak harsh or judge us once we have admitted we are a sinner in need of a savior and given our life to you. Help this new Christian to see they are forgiven and can be restored. You say in the word that you will give us double honor for the shame of our youth. That means you will restore her and give her back double what Satan tried to steal. Help her to be comforted. Send her angels to guide and defend her. Help her find a church home and Bible study to make friends that will be on the journey with her to encourage her as she grows into a mature Christian. You love her the same today, yesterday, and tomorrow! Heal all her depression. We trust you Lord. You have great plans for her, to prosper her and not to harm her for hope and a future. Please increase her HOPE! You did not give us a spirit of fear, but of POWER, LOVE, and SOUND MIND! Thank you!
