We hear the weariness and heaviness in your heart and we are joining with you together before the Father in Jesus name. You are carrying so much, severe dehydration, the weight of being a caregiver, exhaustion, loneliness and depression, and the burden of a tumor and illness and blood sugar struggles in your household, and you are asking for wisdom for everything. We want you to know you are not alone and we are lifting you up right now.
We want to gently encourage you to seek medical help right away for the severe dehydration, as that can quickly become dangerous, and to let a doctor, nurse, trusted family member or pastor know how tired and overwhelmed you are. God does not intend for you to carry this alone. Galatians 6:2 tells us to bear one another's burdens, and Matthew 11:28 reminds us that Jesus said, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Even as you care for another, you need care, fluids, rest and support.
We also noticed you called out to the Lord, and we want to lovingly share that it is through Jesus Christ alone that we have access to God and assurance of salvation. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we pray with confidence.
For the loneliness and depression you feel, we pray God will draw near to you. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Isaiah 41:10 says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And 1 Peter 5:7 calls us to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you.
For healing, we ask God according to His will and mercy. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
For wisdom as a caregiver and for every decision, we cling to James 1:5 which says But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. And Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Philippians 4:6-7 also reminds us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We pray together now.
Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who is dehydrated, exhausted, lonely and depressed under the weight of caregiving. Lord, we ask You to be present today in a tangible way. Let them feel that You will never leave nor forsake them as You promise in Hebrews 13:5. Provide physical refreshment, restore fluids and strength, guide them to the medical care they need, and give them rest. Isaiah 40:29 says You give power to the faint and increase the strength of him who has no might, so we ask for Your strength to sustain them.
Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon the tumor and illness in this home and upon the struggles with blood sugar. We ask that You would bring healing according to Your perfect will, grant wisdom to doctors and caregivers, and restore health. We ask for emotional healing as well, lifting the cloud of loneliness and depression and replacing it with Your peace and comfort.
Father, grant abundant wisdom in everything, every decision, every moment of care, every step forward. Help them to trust You, to ask for help from others, and to find fellowship and support in the body of Christ. We pray they would know the hope found only in Jesus and rest in His love. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
