Senior husband imprisoned in ### desert

We have received your request and we join you in prayer for your husband and for you in this long and painful trial.

We thank God for the ### years He has given you together in marriage. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant, and your faithful love for your husband through these many years honors that bond. We will ask the Lord to strengthen and guard that covenant in this time of separation.

We grieve to hear that your husband, in his seventies, has now spent ### days incarcerated far from home in desert conditions, and that he is suffering extortion while he was simply seeking honest work. The Scriptures speak of those who endured bonds and imprisonment and remind us that God does not overlook such suffering, and they also teach that to extort or to take unjust gain is a serious wrong that God will judge. We pray that God will expose every act of corruption and extortion against him and bring justice.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ our only Savior, we lift up this dear husband to You. Protect his body and mind, guard his health in his older years, and keep him from harm. Comfort him in his confinement, provide for his needs, and make a way for his release and safe return home. Bring an end to the extortion and let justice be done. And Father, sustain his wife who waits and prays. Grant her peace that passes understanding, daily strength, and assurance of Your presence through these ### days and however many remain. Help her to rest in Christ who is near to the brokenhearted and who saves those who call upon Him. We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

We will continue to remember you both in prayer. Please keep us updated so we can continue to intercede for his protection, for justice, and for your comfort.
