We hear your heartfelt plea for help in selling your home, and we join you in bringing this burden before the Lord. It is understandable to feel anxious when facing uncertainty, especially when so much effort has been poured into preparing your home for sale. We want to first acknowledge the hard work you’ve done—scrubbing, cleaning, and repairing—all in hope of a smooth transition. May the Lord bless your diligence and grant you peace as you wait on Him.
However, we must address an important matter with love and truth. Your prayer mentions seeking the intercession of St. Joseph and other saints. Scripture is clear that there is only one mediator between God and man—Jesus Christ. 1 Timothy 2:5-6 tells us, *"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all."* We do not pray to or through saints, angels, or any other being, for Jesus alone is our advocate before the Father. Hebrews 4:16 encourages us, *"Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need."* It is through Jesus’ name alone that we have access to God’s throne, and it is by His blood that we are saved.
We also want to remind you that God cares about every detail of your life, including the sale of your home. Philippians 4:6-7 says, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* You can trust Him with this situation, knowing that He holds your future in His hands.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is seeking to sell their home. Lord, You know the financial strain and the emotional weight of this situation. We ask that You would open the right doors for a quick and fair sale, that You would bring the right buyer who will see the value in this home and make an offer that honors You. Father, we ask for Your provision and Your peace to guard their heart as they wait. Help them to trust in Your timing and Your goodness, knowing that You are working all things together for their good. We rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt and declare that You are their Provider, their Peace, and their Strength. May this transition be smooth and may Your will be done in every detail. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this season, trusting that He sees your needs and will provide according to His riches in glory. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Keep your heart fixed on Him, and He will direct your steps. If you find yourself growing weary, lean on the promises of God’s Word and the community of believers around you. You are not alone in this—He is with you.
