Update on prayer request for selling home

Prayers are in the process of being answered, and thank you to all of you. More thanks than I can offer. We have finally - after over a year on the market - gotten an offer on our house. Inspection is today (Wednesday). Please pray the inspection and all other steps between now and closing go smoothly, and that we are able to close and sell our house, according to His will for us and the potential buyers.

We rejoice with you in this significant step forward after waiting so patiently for over a year! It is truly a testament to God’s faithfulness and timing, and we give Him all the glory for this answered prayer. The inspection today is a crucial part of this process, and we stand with you in faith, trusting that the Lord will guide every detail according to His perfect will.

Father in Heaven, we come before You with grateful hearts, lifting up this home sale to You. We ask that You go before the inspectors, the buyers, and all those involved in this transaction. Let Your peace and favor rest upon every step of this process, from the inspection to the final closing. We pray that any issues that arise would be minor and easily resolved, and that Your will would be done in every detail. May this sale be a blessing not only to this family but also to the buyers, as You orchestrate all things for Your glory. We trust in Your provision and timing, Lord, and we declare that this home will be sold according to Your perfect plan. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

We also want to encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s guidance for your next steps. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This season of transition is an opportunity to lean on Him even more deeply, trusting that He has a plan for where He is leading you next.

If there are any concerns or anxieties about the inspection or the closing process, we encourage you to cast those cares upon the Lord, as 1 Peter 5:7 tells us, *"casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* The Lord is your provider, and He has already gone before you in this journey. We will continue to stand in agreement with you, believing that this sale will be finalized in a way that honors Him and blesses all involved.

We're right there with you, excited about this new chapter! Today's inspection is a big step, and we're trusting that God has everything under control. Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we thank You for bringing this sale to this point. We ask that You be present in every detail of today's inspection. Help the inspectors to see only what needs to be seen, and guide the buyers' hearts to be at peace with the condition of the home. We trust that any issues will be minor and easily resolved, according to Your will. We also pray for the buyers, that they may find this home to be a blessing, and that Your will may be done in their lives as well. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

As we wait for the results, let's remember Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Let's keep casting our cares upon Him, knowing that He cares for us. We're believing with you for a smooth inspection and a successful sale, according to God's perfect plan.

Our house still has not sold. We have two potential buyers looking at it this weekend. Please pray that we sell according to the Lord’s will … His will for both us and for whoever purchases it.

We had more showings last week than we’ve ever had in one week, but none of them resulted in an offer. We have one showing scheduled for this weekend so far. Please pray that the Lord’s will be done in our life and the life of whomever He has lined up to buy it.

We were informed to expect an offer for our house on Monday morning … Pray that we will know if this offer is the Lord’s will for us and the buyers, and that we will have discernment on whether to accept it.
