Sell my apartment

Jloriarville

Disciple of Prayer
I am trying to sell my apartment. Please pray. If I sell it , I will have a fresh start in life after so many betrayals and depressions

We hear your heart, dear one, and we lift your burden before the Lord with great compassion. Selling your apartment and seeking a fresh start is a weighty matter, and we stand with you in prayer, asking the Father to open doors that no man can shut and to provide wisdom for every decision ahead.

First, we must address the deeper longing in your words, the pain of betrayal and the heaviness of depression. These wounds are real, and they matter to God. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not forgotten, and your struggles are seen by the One who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We pray that you would feel His nearness in this season, that He would lift the fog of despair and replace it with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Now, concerning the sale of your apartment, we declare God’s provision over your life. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that the Lord would bring the right buyer at the right time, that the transaction would be smooth and fair, and that this transition would lead you into the new season He has prepared for you. May this fresh start be marked not just by a change in circumstance, but by a deeper trust in Him as your Provider and Redeemer.

We also want to gently encourage you to examine the root of the betrayals and depression you’ve experienced. Have you brought these wounds to the cross? Have you allowed the Lord to speak truth over the lies that may have taken root in your heart? In John 10:10, Jesus says, "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." The enemy seeks to steal your joy, kill your hope, and destroy your faith, but Jesus came to give you life, full and overflowing. We pray that you would renounce any bitterness, unforgiveness, or despair that may be lingering, and that you would receive the healing and freedom that only Christ can give.

If you have not already, we urge you to surrender this season to the Lord and invite Him to lead you. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says the Lord, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Your future is not defined by your past betrayals or struggles. It is defined by the One who holds your future in His hands.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our dear brother/sister, lifting up their heart and their need to You. Lord, You see the pain of betrayal and the weight of depression they carry. We ask that You would heal their heart, mend their spirit, and replace their sorrow with Your joy. Father, we declare that You are their Provider, and we ask that You would bring the right buyer for their apartment at the right time. Open doors that no man can shut, and lead them into the fresh start You have prepared.

Lord, we pray against any spirit of despair or hopelessness that may be trying to take hold. We rebuke it in the name of Jesus and declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, would guard their heart and mind. Fill them with Your hope, and let them know that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).

Father, we ask that You would reveal any areas of unforgiveness, bitterness, or fear that may be hindering them. Give them the strength to release these burdens to You and to walk in the freedom that Christ died to give them. May they experience Your love in a fresh and powerful way, and may their trust in You grow deeper with each passing day.

We thank You, Lord, that You are faithful, and that You will complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One who gives us access to You and the only name by which we can be saved. Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises and to seek Him daily in prayer and in His Word. Surround yourself with believers who can speak life and truth into your situation, and remember that you are not alone. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). May He bless you abundantly as you seek Him with your whole heart.

We hear in your words a deep longing for a new beginning, and we don’t underestimate how weary you must feel after so much betrayal and the weight of depression. You’re not asking for a miracle alone, you’re asking for the chance to step out of a place that holds too many heavy memories and into a new season. That takes courage, and we’re grateful you’re letting us pray with you through it.

Often an outward move can mark a genuine inward shift, but we also know that a change of address doesn’t automatically heal a wounded heart. So while we pray for a buyer to come and the sale to go through smoothly, we also ask God to tend to the parts of you that still ache, the trust that was broken, the hope that dimmed. We’d gently encourage you to not walk through this alone. Is there a trusted friend, a pastor, or a Christian counselor you could talk with honestly, not just about the apartment but about the pain you’ve been carrying? Depression is a weight that often lifts best when someone helps us carry it, and getting that support is a brave, wise step.

As you get the apartment ready to show, maybe walk through each room and simply hand it over to God in prayer, not reciting a formula, but just telling Him what each space has meant and asking for His peace to fill it for the next person. It can be a quiet way to let go. We’re praying for a fair sale, for favor in the timing, and for you to sense God’s steady presence in the waiting and the paperwork.

Lord Jesus, thank you that you never waste our pain and that you walk with us into fresh starts. For this dear one, we ask for a buyer, for just the right door to open, and for this sale to become a tangible sign of new hope. More than that, heal the wounds of betrayal and lift the cloud of depression. Give them the right companions for the road ahead, and let them know in their bones that you are for them. In your name, Amen.

The weight you are carrying just now is not a small one. You have been betrayed, and that is a particular kind of wound. It is the poison in the cup when the hand that tipped it was once your own familiar friend. The words that had been smooth as butter turned out to be drawn swords, and you did not see it coming until the blade was in your back. I do not wonder that your spirit is bruised and that depression has settled over you like a cold mist that will not lift. When trust is shattered, it is not only the relationship that lies in pieces, but something inside the soul itself. You begin to doubt your own judgment, your own worth, even your own capacity to ever feel solid ground beneath your feet again. I will not hurry past that. It is real, and your Saviour knows it better than any man who ever lived.

Before you ever tasted the bitterness of a friend’s treachery, he drained that cup to its dregs. He was not handed over by a stranger or an enemy at arm’s length, he was betrayed by one who had eaten bread at his table, who had walked beside him, who had seen the miracles and heard the tender words with his own ears. And when the kiss of greeting became the signal of arrest, he did not flinch away from it. Oh, think of it: Jesus Christ knows the whole geography of a betrayed heart. He can read the wound in your soul as easily as a mother reads the face of her hurting child, because he has been there, in the darkest valley of that same sorrow. Every tear you have wept in secret has a twin in Gethsemane. Every sleepless night when you have turned over the old questions, “How could they? Why did they?”, he has heard those questions in the silence, and he has not grown weary of you. He is the High Priest who can be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; your sorrow does not need to be explained to him as though he were a distant monarch. He is the Brother born for adversity.

And now you are hoping for a fresh start, and this apartment, this place where perhaps the walls have soaked up too many dark hours, has become in your mind the threshold to something new. I understand that. A new beginning after deep sorrow is a mercy indeed. It is not wrong to long for it. But let me whisper a tender caution into your ear: do not hang all your hope upon a sale, a move, a change of scene. The geography of our deliverance is not the same as the geography of our dwelling. A fresh start in the truest sense is something God works inside a man or a woman long before it is written on a deed or a lease. It begins in the heart of flesh he gives us, in the new calendar he opens for us, not the calendar on the wall, but the inner chronology of the soul that dates everything from the day we first tasted that the Lord is gracious.

You have been faint, and you have been wearied in the length of your way. The striving to keep going while betrayal and depression tugged at you has cost you more strength than you know. That is why I want you to hear this sweet promise as though it were spoken to you alone: I shall be anointed with fresh oil. You need your strength renewed, and he is the one who renews it. You need to be refreshed with the sense of his favour, to know again that you are welcome in his presence, that you are not a beggar cowering at the door but a beloved child seated at the table. The fresh oil is for you. The fresh grace is for you. He gives power to the faint, and to them that have no might he increases strength. When your own soul feels as dry as summer dust, his Spirit can make it soft and tender and alive again.

The sale of an apartment may be a useful thing, a providential kindness from your Father’s hand, and I will gladly join you in asking him to bring it to pass if it is his will. But your true fresh start lies not in a set of new keys, but in the old, old mercy that is new every morning. It lies in the fact that the Lord Jesus, who was betrayed for you, has already prepared a place for you, and that place is himself. And when you have him, you carry your fresh start with you wherever you go, whether the sale is completed tomorrow or delayed another month. Your hope is not pinned to a sign in the front yard or a name on a contract. It is fastened to a risen Saviour who cannot betray you, because he cannot deny himself.

So let us bow our heads together now, and I will spread this matter before the throne.

Lord Jesus, you who were sold for thirty pieces of silver, and who know the sting of a familiar face turned cold, look upon this dear soul. They have tasted betrayal, and they have wrestled with the darkness that follows. Come and be their true and constant Friend. Lift the fog of depression, and let the light of your countenance fall warm upon their heart. As for the sale of this apartment, Father, we ask you to order the affairs of it according to your perfect wisdom. Open the right door at the right time, and give patience and peace while they wait. But far more than that, give them the fresh oil of your Spirit, new strength for the day, a fresh sense of your favour, and a sure confidence that the past is not the final word over their life. You are the God who begins the year again for your people and who makes all things new. Do that work in them now. Hold them fast, for they are yours, and we ask it in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
