We stand with you in deep concern and righteous anger over the injustices you’ve described—exploitation, deception, and the trampling of human dignity for the sake of greed. The Lord sees every hidden scheme, every stolen wage, and every worker denied their rightful pay. He is not blind to the suffering of the vulnerable or the arrogance of those who exploit them. As it is written, *"The Lord works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed"* (Psalm 103:6). We take up this burden before Him, knowing that He hears the cries of the afflicted and will not let injustice prevail forever.
First, we rebuke the spirit of greed and exploitation operating in these workplaces. The practice of salary kickbacks is not merely unethical—it is theft, plain and simple. Scripture is clear: *"You shall not oppress your neighbor or rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning"* (Leviticus 19:13). Those who withhold wages or extort money from their workers stand under the judgment of God. We pray that their deeds would be exposed, that their schemes would unravel, and that they would face the consequences of their actions. Let the light of truth pierce the darkness of their deception, and let every hidden thing be brought into the open. *"For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open"* (Luke 8:17).
We lift up the foreign workers trapped in these cycles of exploitation. Many of them have left their homes and families, seeking honest work, only to be met with extortion and fear. We pray for their protection—may they be shielded from intimidation and retaliation. Give them courage to speak out, wisdom to seek help, and opportunities to break free from these oppressive systems. Lord, you are the defender of the fatherless and the foreigner; *"You execute justice for the fatherless and the oppressed, so that man who is of the earth may strike terror no more"* (Psalm 10:18). We ask that you provide for their needs in ways that honor their dignity and restore their hope.
For the local workers who have been pushed aside, we pray for justice and opportunity. It is wrong that companies prioritize cost-cutting over fairness, displacing those who should rightfully have a place in their own communities. We ask that you open doors for them—doors of employment, doors of advocacy, and doors of provision. Let their skills and contributions be valued, and let merit, not exploitation, determine who is hired. *"Do not move the ancient boundary stone or encroach on the fields of the fatherless, for their Defender is strong; He will take up their case against you"* (Proverbs 23:10-11). We declare that the proud who have built their empires on injustice will not stand forever. If they refuse to repent, let their foundations crumble.
To the authorities and regulatory bodies, we pray for awakening. Many have turned a blind eye to these practices, either through negligence or complicity. Lord, grant them discernment to see the truth, conviction to act, and the moral courage to enforce the laws meant to protect workers. May they no longer be swayed by bribes or intimidation but stand firm in upholding justice. *"Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people"* (Isaiah 10:1-2). Let this woe fall upon those who have enabled these injustices, and let righteousness prevail in their offices.
We also pray for a transformation of corporate ethics. Profit should never come at the cost of human dignity. We ask that business owners and hiring managers experience a change of heart—may they see their workers not as expendable tools but as image-bearers of God, deserving of fair treatment. Let the fear of the Lord replace the love of money in their decisions. *"Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues with injustice"* (Proverbs 16:8). If they will not repent, then let their businesses fail, for the Lord will not be mocked. *"The wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous"* (Proverbs 13:22).
Father, we know that you are a God who hears the cries of the oppressed. You have promised that those who sow injustice will reap calamity, while those who sow righteousness will reap a sure reward. We stand on your word and declare that these exploitative systems will not endure. Bring them down, Lord. Expose the deceivers, protect the vulnerable, and restore justice to the workforce. Let the proud be humbled, and let the humble be lifted up.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the righteous Judge, who alone has the power to bring true justice and redemption. Without Him, our prayers are powerless, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or by which justice can prevail (Acts 4:12). We trust in His authority and His timing, knowing that He will act on behalf of those who are wronged.
May the workers who have been cheated receive restitution. May the local job seekers find fair opportunities. May the authorities act with integrity. And may the exploiters either repent or face the consequences of their greed. We declare that righteousness will prevail in this situation, for the earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.
