Father, we thank You that Your Word does not return void, just like the rain and snow that come down from Heaven, and do not return without watering the earth, making it sprout and grow, Isa 55:10-11. Thank You that seeds have been planted, Mark 4:14, Mark 4:26, Mark 4:27, Mark 4:28, Mark 4:29. From You and through You and back to You be all glory, Rom 11:36. Please continue working on this "still current wife's heart" by bringing fresh truth, restraining evil and carrying any work You've begun on to completion until the day of Christ, Phil 1:6. CONTINUE to bring others into her path to water seeds, speak truth and show the kindness of God, Rom 2:4, and across the paths of all who have heard the word from all time, especially the last year, for our matrimonial, patriarchal and matriarchal figures, our progeny and posterity. Since the steps of the righteous are ordered by You, Ps 37:23, as evidenced by the evangelist and the foreign official reading Isaiah 53 in Acts 8:26-31, the believer in Acts 9:10-11 who was told to go find the future Apostle to the Gentiles, and the Apostles directed to go help a certain man, Acts 16:6-10. You, being perfect AND patient, not willing any perish but rather that all come to repentance, 2 Pet 3:9, and desire all to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, even using prayer to that ends, 1 Tim 2:1-4.

Thanksgiving for our prayers that You are actively using, as "The Word of God is Living and Active and Sharper than any Two-edged Sword, Piercing as far as division of Soul and Spirit, and Judging the Thoughts and Intents of The Heart," Heb 4:12. "My Father is Always Working Even Until Now, And I Myself am Working," Jesus, John 5:17... We believe You and do not need to see results to know the game is fixed in Your favor, the devil is defeated, and "there is no pit so deep that Your Love, Grace and Mercy are not greater still," -- ### & ###, The Hiding Place.

Thank You we and they ARE currently hearing Your Word by The Holy Spirit, John 16:8, we believe before honor comes humility, Prov 18:12, You are humbling those who need to be humbled, Dan 4:37 that they come to their senses, Dan 4:34, 2 Tim 2:26, as You brought about circumstances "assisting" the prodigal in Luke 15:15-17, and "hedged up" Hosea's wife in Hos 2:6, until she realized what she had lost, Hos 2:7....

In the meanwhile we are presently experiencing and enjoying Your Protection as YOU Keep us, them, progeny, folks, ministry partners, prayer partners, our pastors, leaders, officials, 1 Tim 2:1-2, fellow servants of Christ and stewards of The Mysteries of The Word of God, 1 Cor 4:1-2, and us ALL from evil, deception, lies, temptation, sin, Ps 119:3, evil people, 2 Tim 3:5, and the evil one John 17:15, by receiving the love of the truth that we may be saved, 2 Thes 2:9-10. Thank You in advance, Mk 11:24, thank You for being a rewarder of diligent seeking, Heb 11:6, and that fervent prayers of those made righteous by faith avail much and prevail, James 5:16. We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude for His Word, which never returns void but accomplishes what He purposes (Isaiah 55:10-11). Your request reflects a deep trust in God’s sovereignty and His ability to work in the hearts of those we lift up in prayer, particularly in the context of marriage and family. We join you in thanking Him for the seeds planted, the truth spoken, and the conviction of the Holy Spirit (John 16:8), who leads all to repentance (Romans 2:4).

Father, we lift up this marriage before You, asking that You would continue to soften hearts, break down pride, and restore what has been broken. Your Word declares that "unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain" (Psalm 127:1). We pray that You would rebuild this marriage on the foundation of Christ, where both husband and wife submit to You and to one another out of reverence for You (Ephesians 5:21-33). Lord, we ask that You would humble any hardness of heart, as You did with Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel 4:28-37), and bring about godly sorrow that leads to repentance (2 Corinthians 7:9-11).

We rebuke any spirit of division, unforgiveness, or unfaithfulness that may be at work in this marriage. The Bible is clear that marriage is a covenant before God, and what He has joined together, let no man separate (Matthew 19:6). We pray that both spouses would honor their vows and seek reconciliation with humility and grace. If there has been any sin, whether it be adultery, neglect, or bitterness, we ask that You would bring it to light and grant the grace to confess, repent, and restore (1 John 1:9).

Lord, we also pray for the children and future generations tied to this marriage. May they see the love of Christ modeled in their parents’ relationship and grow up knowing the security of a home built on Your Word. We ask that You would order their steps (Psalm 37:23) and surround them with godly influences who will water the seeds of faith You have planted (1 Corinthians 3:6-7).

We stand on Your promise that You are always working (John 5:17) and that Your Word will not return empty (Isaiah 55:11). Even when we do not see immediate results, we trust that You are moving in ways we cannot yet perceive. We thank You for Your protection over this family, shielding them from the schemes of the enemy (Ephesians 6:11) and preserving them for Your glory.

Father, we declare that no weapon formed against this marriage will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the gates of hell will not prevail against the work You are doing (Matthew 16:18). We pray for a supernatural breakthrough, where pride is laid low, forgiveness flows freely, and love is rekindled. May this marriage be a testimony to Your power to restore and redeem.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), through whom we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18). May Your will be done in this marriage, and may Your name be glorified in every step of the journey. Amen.

One thing that helps us in long seasons of waiting is remembering that God's work in a person is more like a slow, hidden growth than a sudden shift. The glimpses of repentance may come in cycles, two steps forward, one back, because real heart-change is a process, not just an event. You've already anchored your hope in Christ's timing and power, not in what your eyes can measure. That's a solid place to stand.

We're also reminded that truth, once planted, is often tested. When a heart stirs toward God, resistance can rise up again. That doesn't mean He has stopped working; it means the battle is real. Your prayers are part of that continued watering, and you're not alone in them, we join you now.

Jesus, thank You that You see this wife's heart more clearly than anyone. We ask for Your kindness to keep leading her to genuine, lasting repentance, not just sorrow, but a true turning that brings freedom. Give this husband steady patience, deep peace, and the daily reminder that You are always at work, even in silence. We trust You with the process, and we praise You for the seeds already planted. Your heart has been poured out like water before the Lord, and every verse you have laid before Him is a sure anchor. The promise of Isaiah 55 stands firm, the rain and the snow do not return to Heaven without accomplishing His pleasure, and so it is with every syllable of truth sown in a soul. The seed hidden in the soil may be out of sight, but it is not out of mind. He who waters the earth will bring His own harvest in His own time. Cease not to water those seeds with continued prayer, for the Spirit's work is often silent as the dew and unseen as the growing of the grain. The Word you have spoken, the truth she has heard, these are not lost. They lie like dormant flames in the ashes, waiting for the breath of God to kindle them into living fire.

Yet remember, what we long to see is not the shallow turning of one who merely fears the swine-trough of earthly consequences. Judgment itself can wring out a repentance that leaves the soul as dead as before, shedding tears that are no better than the morning mist that vanishes before noon. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and a carnal alarm produces only a carnal amendment. What we must plead for is that “repentance unto life”, that holy, healthy, heavenly sorrow which is the work of the Spirit alone. It is wrought by a sight of the cross, not by a dread of hell only. When a sinner sees that sin is hateful because it is against a God so gracious, then the heart is truly broken and healed together. This is the repentance that needs not to be repented of, and it is the gift of His right hand.

Be not cast down if the waiting seems long. The father of the prodigal did not stand idle; he watched each day, and the moment the returning son appeared as a speck on the horizon, the father’s heart knew him and his feet ran. The eyes of mercy are quicker than the eyes of repentance. Long before a sinner draws near with a formed confession, the Father has already set His face toward her. The drawing of the Spirit is a secret and sovereign operation, He humbles as He did Nebuchadnezzar, not to destroy but to restore; He hedges up the way as He did with Hosea’s wife, until the false refuges are shown to be barren and the soul cries out, “I will return to my first husband, for then it was better with me than now.” Pray on, for the appointed hour may be nearer than you know, and perhaps the very silence is the Spirit’s plowing, preparing the heart for a harvest of joy.

Remember, too, that salvation from beginning to end is of the Lord. If any come, they come because He draws them. If any stand, they stand because He upholds them. You need not see the evidence with your eyes to know that the battle is already won, for Christ has put His heel on the serpent’s head. The forces of darkness are like chaff before the wind; the word of the Lord is a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces. Continue to bring her name before the mercy seat, not as one who pleads with a reluctant God, but as one who lays hold of covenanted grace. He desires all to come to the knowledge of the truth, and His patience is salvation. Even now, while you read these words, He who said, “My Father works still, and I work,” is not idle. He can make the stony heart soft and the dead spirit live with a single glance.

So let your heart be at ease, for the matter is in hands that were pierced for sinners. The Bridegroom loves His own spouse with an everlasting love, and when He draws her, she will return with weeping and supplication. Perhaps the very trial of waiting is making you a more patient husband, a more fervent intercessor, a nearer follower of the Man of Sorrows. Lift your eyes to the prize, the day when she shall sit at His feet clothed and in her right mind, and you together shall praise the God who called you out of darkness into marvelous light. Until then, trust the promise that is sealed with blood, and go your way with this written on your breast: “Return, return, O Shulamite; return, return,” for the voice of the Beloved is still calling.

Your prayer bears the fragrance of a soul that longs for the salvation of another, and rightly points all hope to God, for neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. Yet take care that this confidence does not lull you into thinking that a seed once scattered must inevitably spring up without the soil being broken. The rain falls and the sun shines, but the hardened path and the thorny ground yield nothing. The kindness of God indeed leads to repentance, but there is a sorrow that is only of the world, producing death, and there is a sorrow that is according to God, working repentance unto a salvation not to be regretted. Esau sought it carefully with tears, and found no place of repentance, because his grief was not hatred of the sin but horror at losing the blessing. Many feel a sting, yet cling to the disease; they hold the truth in unrighteousness, knowing what is right but refusing to let it cost them their comfort.

Do not imagine that the Holy Spirit’s convicting work operates apart from the person’s willingness to turn. The Spirit reproves, but the heart must answer. And what is repentance? It is not a passing pang, but a medicine compounded of self-condemnation, the confession of sin, a broken and contrite heart, and above all the actual forsaking of the transgression. Observe Ananias and Sapphira: they were under no compulsion to sell their land or to give the price; yet they pretended a full surrender while keeping back part. They lied to God, and their judgment fell swiftly, for God will not be mocked. So it is with any who outwardly draw near while inwardly cherishing what God forbids. If the wife you pray for continues to love the bond of a union Scripture does not bless, or claims a repentance that still clings to the very sin, she deceives herself, and the truth is not in her.

Continue in fervent prayer, and do not grow weary. God hears the cry of the righteous, and He is able to hedge up her path, to bring her into such straits that she comes to herself and says, “I will return.” But while you pray, let your own life be a living preaching. Let your humility, your almsgiving, your heart of compassion toward her be such that she sees the beauty of holiness. Almsgiving is the heart of virtue, and without it no one can be saved, for it testifies that we have unfeigned love. Yet do not mistake patience for approval, nor kindness for an allowing of what God calls unrighteousness. The Apostle rejoiced not that the Corinthians were made sorry, but that their sorrow came to a repentance that brought real change. So too, your hope must be fixed not on a comfortable hope that all will be well, but on the conviction that He who began a good work will carry it to completion only in those who do not draw back to perdition.

The steps of the righteous are ordered by God, but the path is narrow, and many who start do not finish. Do not give way to anxiety, but do not give way to presumption either. Beseech the Lord of the harvest, and in the meantime examine yourself, lest in preaching to others you become a castaway. Walk worthy of the calling, and leave the result to Him who desires all to be saved, yet who gives grace only to the humble. The devil is indeed defeated, and the word of God is living and sharper than any two-edged sword, able to divide soul and spirit. That sword must cut before it heals, and the wound it makes is unto life. Pray, then, with thanksgiving, and watch with many tears, not for her alone but for yourself, that you both may be found blameless in the day of Christ.

The seed is in the ground. You have witnessed it planted, you have prayed over the soil, and now the waiting feels heavy. But remember, the growth happens in the dark, hidden from your eyes. The farmer does not dig up the seed each morning to check its progress; he trusts the life buried within it. Your wife’s heart is that soil, and the word that has been spoken will not return void. The Holy Spirit is the one who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He does not need our visible confirmation to be at work. When you see no change, the Spirit may be doing His deepest plowing, breaking up ground that has been hard for years.

Repentance is not merely a sorrowful feeling; it is a turning, a change of mind that leads to life. And God is the one who grants it. Your request rightly leans into His kindness as the force that leads people to repentance. Sometimes that kindness appears as a hedge of thorns, as it did for Hosea’s wife, or a season of lack, as it did for the prodigal son. When a person is allowed to taste the full bitterness of a path away from God, that is not abandonment, it is a severe mercy. The Father did not chase the prodigal down in the far country; He waited, and the famine did its holy work. Your prayers are not wasted air. They are the precise means God uses to hem in and to humble. A person lifted up in pride cannot be restored until they are brought low, as Nebuchadnezzar learned when his reason left him and he ate grass like an ox. But what happened when he finally lifted his eyes to heaven? His understanding returned, and he blessed the Most High. God knows exactly how to bring about the circumstances that will cause someone to come to their senses.

You are right to focus on the unseen work. The heart’s condition is a mystery no human can diagnose with certainty, but repentance is the visible proof of an invisible change. When Simon’s mother-in-law was healed of her fever, the evidence was immediate: she got up and began to serve. When genuine repentance happens, the life reorients. But that reorientation often comes at the end of a long rope of desperation. Jairus came to Jesus only when his precious daughter lay dying. He would never have risked his position among the rulers otherwise. The Lord knows what is closest to the heart, and He will touch that very thing to draw a person to Himself. It feels like death, the disciples on the road to Emmaus were slow of heart to believe, weighed down with hopelessness, but the dead thing is only asleep in His hands. He waits to speak the word that wakes it up.

Do not trust your own timeline. Do not be surprised if the path to restoration travels through a deeper valley than you expected. Hold fast to the truth that God’s patience is not slackness but salvation. He desires all to come to repentance, and He is actively working, even now. While you wait, guard your own heart from the leaven of the Pharisees, who could not see the power of God because they had already set their position against Jesus, explaining away the evidence before their eyes. Instead, keep the soil of your own heart soft, open to the Spirit’s teaching, and free from preconceived notions of how God must act. Your prayers avail much because they are the fervent petitions of one made righteous by faith. Trust the seed. Trust the Sower. Trust the rain and snow of His Word. What He has begun, He will complete. The end of the matter is not in doubt, for the steps of the righteous are ordered by Him, and He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all you ask or can even imagine.
