Goodafternoon, I decided to request a second hearing to address an agency's attempt to violate my due process for rental arrears assistance. I fully complied and submitted my documents before the deadline. The agency waited until the day before their deadline to process my paperwork under the guise of being a brand new applicant rather than an existing client and created a written narrative that I asked for the property managments highly inflated and inaccurate arrears amount. the new hearing is scheduled for next month. I ask in Jesus name for wisdom as this is a very stressful situation. Improper behavior on the part of the PM and local agency. Sometimes i feel like i should just walk away from this situation as evil has reigned in these two areas. This is not about retribution this is about truth. I submitted documents to refute the landlord's inflated arrears so that the city and state would pay out the correct amount of arrears but they chose to ignore my evidence and protect the landlord and property management instead. I feel abandoned in this trial I honestly do.

We hear how truly tired you are having to go through this a second time, and we join with you in seeking the Lord together in Jesus' name for wisdom and for truth to prevail. You asked in Jesus' name and we are grateful you did, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father, as Jesus said in John 14:6, and there is salvation in no other name as we read in Acts 4:12.

What you describe is deeply stressful, to have fully complied before the deadline and then to have your paperwork processed at the last moment under a false premise, with a narrative created that you requested an inflated and inaccurate arrears amount. It is discouraging when evidence you submitted to ensure the city and state would pay only what is correct and true is ignored, and when it feels that those in authority are protecting the landlord and property management instead of upholding what is just. We understand why you feel abandoned in this trial and tempted to just walk away, feeling that evil has reigned in these places.

We want to encourage you that God is not abandoning you, even when people fail you. He sees all that is done in secret and He is a God of justice and truth. Deuteronomy 32:4 tells us His work is perfect and all His ways are just, and Psalm 37:28 tells us the Lord loves justice and will not forsake His saints. Proverbs 12:22 says lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who do truth are His delight. Isaiah 1:17 calls us to seek justice, correct oppression. The Lord knows the difference between the inflated amount and the true amount, and He knows your diligence in submitting what is accurate.

We also hear your heart that this is not about retribution but about truth, and that is right before God. Romans 12:19 reminds us not to avenge ourselves but to leave room for God's wrath, for vengeance belongs to Him and He will repay. Your desire for truth to be honored rather than for personal revenge honors Him.

For the weariness and feeling of being alone, please take comfort in His promises. Psalm 34:18 says the Lord is near to those who have a broken heart and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Isaiah 41:10 says Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Hebrews 13:5 reminds us He Himself has said I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you. And for your request for wisdom, we cling to James 1:5 which says But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

We encourage you not to walk away from pursuing what is true and just, while also guarding your peace. Galatians 6:9 tells us Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up. Continue to keep every document, every timestamp, every copy of what you submitted and when, and bring that order and clarity to the hearing next month. If possible, seek wise and godly counsel or legal aid to help you present the evidence clearly and calmly. Cast your anxiety on Him because He cares for you as 1 Peter 5:7 says, and let your requests be made known to God with thanksgiving as Philippians 4:6-7 teaches, so that the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus. Matthew 11:28 invites us to come to Him all who labor and are heavily burdened, and He will give rest.

You see the exhaustion from having to request a second hearing and the stress of dealing with improper behavior from the property management and the local agency. Strengthen and sustain this one who feels abandoned, remind them that You are near, that You will never leave them, and give them Your peace that surpasses understanding and rest for their soul. Your burden has been heard, and we join you in bringing it before the Lord who sees all that is done in secret and who judges with perfect righteousness. To be wearied a second time by the same trial, to have complied faithfully and yet to see your evidence set aside and a false narrative put in its place, is a heavy and stressful affliction. It is right that you desire truth and not retribution, and the Lord who loves truth will honor that desire. He knows the weariness that makes you feel abandoned and tempted to walk away, and He knows the integrity with which you have sought to have only what is accurate and just paid out.

Be encouraged that though men may fail in justice, the covenant of grace made with us in Christ Jesus stands sure and shall last forever. He abideth forever in the power of an endless life, and therefore the covenant stands in Him. He has said, I will betroth thee unto me forever, and His name for His people shall not be erased from the palms of His hands. Even when you feel abandoned, you are not forsaken, for He who began a good work in you will surely finish it in due season. The fear of the Lord kept alive in your heart by reading the Scriptures and by private prayer will sustain you when the dealings of men are unjust.

You have asked in Jesus name for wisdom for the hearing next month, and that is true wisdom. Whoever trusts in the Lord, happy is he. True wisdom is to trust Him and to walk in His ways while also acting with order and diligence. Continue to feed on the Word, be much in private prayer, and abide near to God, for as you abide in Him and His words abide in you, you shall bring forth fruit. Seek wise counsel for the hearing, keep a clear and orderly record of all you submitted and when you submitted it, and present the truth calmly and plainly, leaving the outcome to Him who does all things well.

Trials such as these are varied and often repeated, and it will sometimes seem as if your course must end in failure, as if you pass through deep waters and fierce fire. The promise remains, when thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee, and through the fire, thou shalt not be burned. The child of God sustained by divine grace will be none the worse for all his troubles, for the Lord is with His people to keep and to deliver them. Perseverance in the path of faith and holiness is the necessity of the Christian, not because our hold is strong, but because His hold is sure and His mercy never forsakes the work which His wisdom undertakes.

We pray for you now, that the God of all wisdom would grant you clear mind and steady heart in the days before the hearing, that truth would be made plain and that what is inflated and inaccurate would be exposed, that the agency and property management would act justly, and that you would know the peace that comes through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom alone we have access to the Father and peace with God through His atoning blood. May He guard you from despair, keep you from bitterness, and give you grace to rest in His eternal care while you faithfully pursue what is right.

We will continue to remember you, that in this second hearing the Lord would grant you favor for truth's sake, and that whether the answer comes as you hope or through a harder path, you may find Him to be your comfort and your portion, and may know that He who is faithful will not leave you nor forsake you.

Your second request has been heard, and the heaviness of this trial is clear. You have labored to do what is right, submitting what was required before the deadline, speaking truth about the amount truly owed, and seeking not retribution but that the correct amount be established. To desire truth in this way, with a pure conscience that testifies you have acted for what is pleasing to God, is itself a comfort and even a crown in the midst of distress.

It is right to name what has happened as unjust. Injustice is judged not by the measure of what is taken but by the intention of those who commit it. Whether one takes gold or acres of land, or whether one corrupts justice in a contract or in the handling of papers, it is the same robbery. To falsify an amount, to recast an existing client as a new applicant, to create a narrative that does not reflect what you asked, and to ignore evidence in order to protect another party, is to take from a neighbor and to corrupt justice. God sees this. Nothing is done without His knowledge. As we are taught, not even a sparrow falls without the Father, and though He permits trials for a time, He knows all and His providence remains over you.

You said you feel abandoned and at times wonder if you should simply walk away because evil seems to reign in these places. That feeling is understandable when you have been drenched on every side by those who should have acted fairly. Yet you are not abandoned. The Lord who taught us to look to His knowledge and care in every temptation offers comfort not only by deliverance from evils but by the assurance of His righteous judgment. That judgment is a token that He will crown those who patiently endure and will in His own justice address those who do wrong. Our first longing is not for vengeance but for truth to be made plain and for what is right to be upheld, and that is the longing you have expressed.

For the hearing next month, we will pray in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have hope and access to the Father, that God will grant you wisdom, steadiness, and clarity. May He give you peace that guards your heart, words that are measured and truthful, and favor with those who judge the matter, that the documents you submitted would be truly considered and the accurate amount recognized. May He also guard you from the sharp goads of anxious thoughts that pierce the mind, and establish your heart so that you are not shaken, but able to bear what comes with longsuffering and to do what is good in every word and work.

Do not let the failure of others define your course. Seek wisdom whether to stand and pursue what is true or to release what cannot be rightly obtained, and ask the Spirit to lead you in that decision. You have already shown love for truth over advantage, and God honors that. You are not alone in this. The faith we share, when we bear one another's burdens and see one another's endurance, becomes mutual comfort, as many lights gathered together make a brighter flame.
