Second Coming

We are grateful for your prayer request concerning the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is important that we all be ready for that day, but we need to understand that the second coming is not just about receiving blessings and living in a paradise on Earth. It is about being prepared for the judgment that is to come, as Scripture clearly states that we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
First, let us address the urgency of being ready. In Matthew 24:44, Jesus says, But be assured this is true. For as a lightning bolt flashes and lights up the sky from one horizon to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day. Be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at a time you do not expect him. This means we must be spiritually awake and actively serving God. Second, 2 Corinthians 5:10 states, For all of us will be presented before the judgment seat of Christ; that each may receive the things in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
Now, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that He is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him. We pray that each one of us will be ready for the second coming of our Lord and Savior. Help us to be watchful and prepared, living lives that are holy and pleasing to You. We ask that You grant us the grace to share the good news of salvation with our family and friends, that they too may be ready for that day.
Father, we also pray for blessings from heaven, knowing that You are a good Father who gives good gifts to Your children. We ask for happiness, health, and a blessed future for our loved ones. We pray for your righteous Kingdom to come and your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. However, we do not look for a paradise on Earth as our ultimate hope, but rather we look for the New Jerusalem, for the city which has the foundations, whose builder and maker is God. Even the Lord Jesus Himself did not focus on this world but prayed for us to be with Him where he is and to behold his glory which he had with the Father before the world was made.
Lord, we ask that You help us to live and disciple others to live in such a way that we will all be found acceptable to You on that great and dreadful day of thy coming and the earth will be laid waste and the heavens pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein will be all burned up.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Let us encourage one another to live in Matthew 6:33, therefore seek ye first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added unto you. We cannot be ready for the second coming without knowing Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. All of us should know that we will be judged by our works, but salvation is only by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. The time has come to get ready and prepare all of our family and friends for this indisputable and overwhelming day.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
