We join you in seeking the Lord’s protection and mercy as these storms approach. The Bible reminds us in Psalm 107:29, "He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed." We know that our God is sovereign over all creation, including the winds and the waves, and we trust in His power to calm the storm or shield you from its fury according to His perfect will.

Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. We ask that You would extend Your hand of protection over this family and their home. If it is Your will, Lord, let the storms pass by without harm, and spare them from the sound of sirens or the loss of power. We declare Your promise from Psalm 91:10-11, "No evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For He will put His angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." We trust in Your unfailing love and ask that You surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

We also pray for wisdom and preparedness. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." Guide them in making wise decisions, whether it be to seek shelter or take necessary precautions. Let them not be ruled by fear, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness in every season. Even in the midst of the storm, we know that You are with us, and we take comfort in Your presence. Strengthen their faith, and let this time draw them closer to You. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Rock and our Refuge. Amen.

Thank you for letting us know what you’re facing tonight. The feeling of a coming storm, the waiting, the sirens, can be deeply unsettling, and we don’t take that lightly. We’re stopping right now to bring your request before the Lord alongside you.

While we can’t control the weather, many of us find that taking a few practical steps helps settle our nerves just a little. If you haven’t already, consider gathering a flashlight, some water, and your phone charger, and identify your safest interior space now so it’s not a scramble later. It’s not a replacement for trust, just a simple way of doing what we can while we lean on God for the rest.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this neighbor who is watching the skies with a heavy heart. You know the fear that comes with a threatening storm and the sound of a siren. We ask that, if it is Your will, You would steer this storm away from them, silence the alarms, and preserve their power. But above all, please shelter them and their loved ones from harm, and steady their spirit with a peace that doesn’t make sense in the roar of it all. Help them sense Your nearness even now. We ask this in Your strong name, Jesus. Amen.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Fear not, for this storm, though it roar and the skies gather blackness, is yet under the government of Him who weighs the winds and holds the waters in the hollow of His hand. To tremble before the tempest is to dishonour the arm that piles the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth. Is the Eternal palsied? Shall the Omnipotent slumber? That fear which springs from apprehending evil brings a snare; it weakens the soul and opens the door to unbelief. The command is absolute and unqualified: "Fear not." It is not the preacher who whispers it, but Jesus Christ Himself, who holds the keys of death and of every stormy wind. The boy on board the ship in time of peril feared not, for his father was at the helm. Shall the elect of God, bought with precious blood, be in bondage through dread of a passing cloud? God forbid.

Your safety lies not in the storm missing you, but in your Saviour being with you. He is able to keep you from falling and to preserve you in the midst of the very trial. The power to keep a soul trusting in the dark is a greater wonder than the power to calm the sea, for He leaves us as free agents and yet sustains our faith. Let your fear be swallowed up in that holy awe which reverences His goodness. You have prayed, and that is well; but now leave your petition at the mercy seat and let your faith take hold of His promise. He says, "I will help thee." Why then shouldst thou fear? Look away from the boiling cloud to the pierced hand that rules it, and find in the forgiveness of your sins the death of all your terror. He who spared not His own Son will not fail to be your refuge. Fear Him in the sense of reverent love, and then you need fear nothing else in earth or sky.

Your prayer is heard, but let us consider how God uses storms. The truly marvelous thing is not that we remain calm in fair weather, but that when the tempest rages and the sirens sound, the soul anchored in Christ cannot be shaken. The Lord allows the winds to blow so that we might seek Him, and when He chooses, He speaks a word and the turbulence yields to a great calm. Do not place your trust in your own power to avoid trouble, for His strength is made perfect in weakness. Make your soul a heaven, luminous and undisturbed above the storms of this life. Just as the sky does not lose its brightness when clouds gather, so you, by withdrawing from earthly fears and fixing your eyes on the Sun of Righteousness, can dwell in peace. Whether the storm passes you by or not, the grace of Christ is sufficient for you. I join my prayers to yours, asking that His will be done, and that He grant you either the safety you desire or the fortitude to endure. He is Lord of wind and wave, and He will never forsake those who call upon Him in the name of Jesus.

The roar of a storm can shake the calmest spirit, but it never catches our God off guard. I am praying with you right now, asking that if it pleases Him, He will steer the winds away, keep the sirens silent, and hold the power steady in your home. You have done the right thing by bringing this anxiety straight to the throne, in the name of Jesus.

In the grip of frightening weather, remember whose hand holds the storm. He has promised to be a wall of fire around His people, a surrounding presence that no gale can breach. Your safety ultimately rests not in calm skies but in the One who commands the lightning. Turn your heart toward Him in full trust, and He will turn toward you with peace that passes understanding. The enemy loves to whisper that you are abandoned or that disaster is certain, but those lies cannot stand against the truth of God’s care. He will give His angels charge over you, to bear you up and keep you from harm.

This does not mean we can demand a particular outcome; we submit every request to His perfect will. But we can be utterly confident that whether the storm passes by or tests our endurance, His Spirit will strengthen you. It is not by our own might or frantic preparations that we are kept, but by His Spirit who enables us to endure what we could never face alone. The same power that leveled mountains before Zerubbabel can quiet the turmoil inside your chest right now.

When the sirens do not sound and the lights stay on, give Him glory. If He allows a different path, He will walk through it with you. He has brought His people through many a sea of affliction, and He will not let go of your hand now. Keep His precepts close and let His Word anchor your soul. I join my faith with yours: Lord, in your mercy, spare them from this tempest, and let them know Your peace.
