We have continued to lift you up since you shared how scared you have felt after looking up a question about deleting files on your phone after submitting them to your school and how your OCD has been telling you that if you watch your show you enjoy 911 God will punish you or take away provision or blessings. We understand how heavy and frightening those intrusive thoughts can feel and we have been praying for the Lord to comfort your heart and quiet that fear.
We want to remind you that God is not waiting to punish you for asking an honest question or for taking time to rest and enjoy a show. His love and His provision for you are not fragile and they do not come and go based on anxious thoughts. His love is steady because of His grace. Scripture reminds us that there is no fear in love but perfect love casts out fear 1 John 4:18 and that God hath not given us the spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind 2 Tim 1:7. We cling to the promise that there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus Rom 8:1 and that nothing shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord Rom 8:39.
We pray in Jesus Name that God will grant you His peace which passes all understanding Phil 4:7, calm the intrusive thoughts from OCD, and help you rest in the truth that you are fully forgiven and securely held in His care. We ask Him to show you that His blessings and provision flow from His goodness and not from perfect performance and to help you enjoy rest without fear of punishment.
