We understand your fear, and we are grateful that you have called upon the name of Jesus in this moment of anxiety. It is right to turn to Him in all things, big or small, for He cares for you deeply. The Bible reminds us in 1 Peter 5:7, *"Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* Your concern is valid, but we encourage you to trust in the Lord’s protection and provision over every detail of your life, including this situation.
Fear is a natural human response, but as believers, we are called to bring our anxieties to God in prayer and rest in His peace. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Let us release this fear to Him and trust that He is in control.
We also want to gently remind you that while it is good to pray about our earthly concerns, our ultimate hope and security are found in Christ alone—not in the functioning of appliances or the absence of trouble. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 6:25-27, *"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan?"* Let this truth comfort you—God knows your needs, and He is faithful.
Now, let us pray together for your peace and for this situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is feeling afraid and overwhelmed. Lord, You know her heart and the fears that grip her in this moment. We ask that You would surround her with Your peace, which transcends all understanding. Calm her mind and remind her that You are sovereign over every detail of her life—even the small things like a dryer working properly.
Lord, we pray that nothing harmful or dangerous would occur with the dryer. Protect her home, her belongings, and her safety. Give her assurance that You are with her and that You hold all things together by the power of Your might. Help her to trust You more deeply, knowing that You care for her far more than she could ever imagine.
We rebuke any spirit of fear that would try to take hold of her heart. Fear does not come from You, for You have given us a spirit of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Fill her with Your peace and confidence in Your provision.
Father, we also pray that this situation would be a reminder to her—and to all of us—that our trust must be in You alone, not in the things of this world. You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Let her rest in that truth today.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
We encourage you to take a deep breath and meditate on God’s Word. Play some worship music, read a Psalm, or simply sit quietly and thank the Lord for His faithfulness. He is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Trust in Him, and let His peace guard your heart. If this fear persists, we also encourage you to seek godly counsel or prayer support from your local church body. You are not alone in this!
