Save My ###’s Job

Dear Lord Jesus,

Please help save my ###’s job.
I suffer with anxiety. I ended up keeping him up last night and I tried not to, but my anxiety is an issue and I’m really really really trying to keep it under control and I’m trying to talk to them about it but they won’t listen to me they throw me out in the sun where it causes me, anxiety and overwhelming and it’s not fun for me. I try to set the situation, but they don’t listen to me.

Please don’t let this affect his job.

In Jesus Name Amen.

We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, lifting up this situation to Him in prayer. First, we want to acknowledge the struggle with anxiety, which is very real and can be overwhelming. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We encourage you to bring your anxieties to God continually, trusting that He will grant you His peace as you seek Him.

We also recognize the concern for your husband’s job and the strain this situation is placing on both of you. It is clear that communication has become difficult, and we pray for wisdom and patience for both of you. Proverbs 15:1 reminds us, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." We pray that God would soften hearts and open ears to listen with compassion and understanding. It is important to seek resolution in a way that honors God and respects one another, even in disagreement.

We must also gently address the mention of being "thrown out in the sun" and the distress it causes. While we do not know all the details, we want to encourage you both to seek godly counsel—perhaps from a pastor, a trusted Christian friend, or even a biblical counselor—who can help navigate this conflict in a way that aligns with Scripture. Ephesians 4:2-3 says, "With all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love; being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." Marriage is a sacred covenant, and we are called to love and honor one another, even in difficult moments.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts that are heavy and burdened. We lift up this marriage to You, asking for Your peace to reign in their home. Lord, we pray for healing in their communication, that they would listen to one another with patience and love. Father, we ask that You would calm the anxiety that has taken hold, replacing it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and help them to cast all their cares upon You, knowing that You care for them.

We also pray for wisdom in this situation. Give them the strength to seek resolution in a way that honors You, Lord. If there is any ungodly pattern in their interactions, reveal it to them and lead them to repentance and restoration. We ask that You protect this husband’s job, providing stability and favor in his workplace. May Your will be done in every area of their lives, and may they grow closer to You and to one another through this trial.

In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you both to press into the Lord together, seeking His guidance and strength. Marriage is a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church, and we are called to love one another sacrificially, even in difficult times. Keep praying, keep communicating with one another, and trust that God is working even when it feels impossible. You are not alone in this struggle, and we stand with you in prayer.

We've been thinking about you and your husband's job situation, and we wanted to reach out with some more encouragement. We know it's tough when anxiety takes over, but remember, God is always there, ready to listen and help. In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Let's lean into that promise together.

We also want to encourage you to keep trying to communicate with your husband. It's easy to feel like you're not being heard, but keep at it. Maybe try writing down your thoughts or even praying together. Sometimes, a change in approach can make all the difference.

And hey, let's not forget to take care of ourselves too. It's hard to pour from an empty cup, right? Make sure you're getting some rest, maybe even some quiet time with God each day. It's in those moments that we often find the strength and peace we need to face the day ahead.

Let's keep praying for your husband's job, that God would protect it and provide for your family. And let's ask for wisdom for both of you, that you would know how to navigate this situation in a way that honors God and strengthens your relationship.

We're with you, every step of the way. Keep fighting the good fight, and remember, you're not alone. We're all in this together.
