Disciple of Prayer
I am seeking prayer for myself and my family. I used to go to the church when I was younger and I do still believe in Jesus , but I don't trust Him as before and I am not so confident that I am still His child although the Bible says something different about this. I am going thru a difficult period in my life.
My son is ###. His name is ###. He is computer games addicted. He doesn't go anywhere and he is in depression. And he doesn't listen to anyone that he must stop playing those games. He says he has ### and that is why he plays computer games all the time. I would like to ask you to pray for his salvation . He doesn't believe in God. May God touch his heart and show him His love. And also pray for my husband , for his salvation.
I would also like to ask you to pray for me to become confident in God's unchangeable love.
Thank you for your prayers.

We hear your heart’s cry, dear sister, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. Your honesty about your struggles with trust and confidence in God’s love is not a sign of weakness, but an opportunity for His strength to be made perfect in you. The enemy would love nothing more than to whisper lies of doubt into your spirit, but we declare those lies powerless in the name of Jesus. Scripture assures us, "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from God’s love, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:38-39). If you have placed your faith in Jesus, you are His child, forever. Doubt does not erase the finished work of the cross or the seal of the Holy Spirit within you.

Your son’s struggle with addiction and depression grieves our hearts deeply. We recognize the enemy’s tactic to isolate and destroy through the idolatry of gaming, which has stolen his time, purpose, and hope. But we serve a God who breaks chains and restores what has been lost. We rebuke the spirit of addiction and depression in his life in the name of Jesus, and we declare that his identity is not found in a diagnosis or a screen, but in Christ alone. The Word tells us, "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly" (John 10:10). We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict your son of his need for a Savior and that his heart would be softened to receive the truth of the Gospel. Father, would You reveal Yourself to him in dreams, through creation, or through the testimony of believers? Let him encounter Your love in a way that leaves no room for doubt.

For your husband, we pray that the scales would fall from his eyes and that he would come to know Jesus as Lord. The Bible says, "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him" (John 6:44). We ask that the Father would draw him with cords of love and that he would surrender his life to Christ. May he become the spiritual leader your family needs, rooted and grounded in God’s Word.

And for you, beloved, we pray that you would sink your roots deep into the truth of God’s unshakable love. The enemy has tried to shake your confidence, but we declare that you are anchored in Christ. "The LORD appeared of old to me, saying, 'Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love. Therefore I have drawn you with loving kindness'" (Jeremiah 31:3). Let this truth wash over you like a healing balm. Spend time in His presence, meditating on His promises, and let His peace guard your heart.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts laid bare. We ask that You would restore this family to You. For the mother, renew her trust in Your unfailing love. For the son, break the chains of addiction and depression, and draw him to salvation. For the husband, soften his heart to receive the Gospel. Lord, let Your light shine in the darkness of their circumstances, and let them experience the fullness of life that is found only in You. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved. Amen.

Do not grow weary in praying for your family. The battle is spiritual, and the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly but mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). Surround yourself with believers who can encourage you, and continue to stand on God’s promises. Your son’s salvation is not dependent on his current belief, it is dependent on the power of God. Keep speaking life over him, even when he resists. And remember, your confidence in God’s love is not based on your feelings, but on the finished work of Christ. Rest in that truth today.

Thank you for trusting us with what is on your heart, it’s clear you are carrying a heavy weight, and we are honored to stand with you in prayer. The ache of feeling distant from God, even while you still believe, is deeply painful, and it doesn’t mean you are no longer His child. Many believers through the centuries have walked through seasons where trust felt fragile and confidence wavered, not because God moved, but because life’s struggles and the enemy’s whispers wore them down. Your honest admission, “I don’t trust Him as before”, is itself a prayer, and He hears it. His love for you is not tied to your feelings or your performance; it is anchored in His unchanging character.

We also lift up your son. Gaming addiction, depression, and the challenges of OCD can form a prison that feels impossible to escape. It’s heavy for you to watch, and we know your greatest hope is for his heart to be opened to God’s love. While we pray fervently for that, we also gently encourage that practical help from a doctor or mental health professional can be a lifeline, especially when depression and OCD are part of the picture. These aren’t weaknesses; they are real conditions God can use skilled people to help treat. And your steady, prayerful presence in his life, without forcing conversations, can plant seeds that God alone can grow.

We pray as well for your husband’s salvation, trusting that no heart is too hard for the Lord to reach.

May you sense, even in this wilderness season, that you are not alone. Jesus is near to the brokenhearted, and He will not let you go.

Father, we ask You to quiet this mother’s fears and wrap her in Your unshakable peace. Restore her confidence that she is and always has been Your beloved child. Pour out Your mercy on her son, break through the darkness of depression, the grip of addiction, and the lies of OCD. Open his eyes to see Your love, and draw him gently to Yourself. We lift up her husband, too, asking that You would soften his heart and reveal Your goodness. Sustain this family with hope and give them small, tangible signs of Your presence. In Jesus’ name, amen.

You speak of a confidence lost, a trust that has grown cold. Yet listen to the truth that shall restore your soul. The father of the prodigal did not wait for his son to crawl back with perfect repentance; when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him in much love. You who once walked in the light and now feel yourself in a far country, the parable belongs to you, for you can call God Father, and you may come back to Him as a son. You are His child still, notwithstanding all your fears and failures, and He waits to make you feel the warmth of His embrace again. All the promises in this Book belong to every repentant sinner who returns to God believing in Jesus Christ, His Son. Do not measure His love by your feelings, but by His own Word. He delights in mercy; it is His very nature to pardon, for God is love.

Your son sits in darkness, bound by those vain games and a spirit of heaviness. But remember Manasseh, the son of godly Hezekiah, who filled Jerusalem with idols and led his people into worse sin than the heathen. Yet when he was in affliction, he sought the Lord and humbled himself greatly, and God heard his prayer and brought him back to his kingdom. The arm of the Lord is not shortened that it cannot save. I urge you to plead the blood of Jesus over that young man, for Christ came to condemn sin in the flesh and to break every chain. He who commanded the light to shine out of darkness can shine into your son’s heart and show him the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Keep praying, and do not grow weary. Nothing lies beyond the reach of sovereign grace.

And your husband likewise, salvation is of the Lord. It is He who plans, procures, and applies it. Cease from the anxiety that frets over the means, and trust the living God who raises the dead. If you trust in Him, you will not need sinful means to press your cause; you will cast it all upon His shoulders. The text is true: “He who trusts in the Lord, happy is he.” Learn to rest in temporal and eternal things upon the faithful Creator.

As for your own heart’s assurance, flee from the notion that you must muster some great feeling before you can trust Christ. The wiser way is to sit down calmly and say, “Here is God’s way of salvation, salvation through His crucified Son. I will trust Him now.” Faith is the hand that takes the gift. You ask to know His unchangeable love; then look to the cross, where God condemned sin in the flesh of His own dear Son. There is not one drop of wrath left for you if you are in Christ. He that spared not His own Son, how shall He not freely give you all things? The Father Himself loves you. Let that truth sing in your heart until every doubt is silenced.

Only trust Him! Trust Him for yourself, for your son, for your husband. He who turned the heart of Manasseh can turn your household toward Himself. I shall pray with you and for you, but do not delay, leave off resolving and come to practicing. May the Holy Spirit lead you this very hour to cast yourself upon the God whose thoughts are not your thoughts, and whose ways are higher than your ways, that you may discover how readily He forgives, how fully He restores, and how tenderly He keeps His own. Who among you will put his trust in Jesus? Do it now, and find eternal salvation the moment you believe in His dear name.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
