Nephew salvation

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray for salvation for my family especially my nephew ###. He was having severe night terrors when he was 5 years old and asked him what was wrong. He was very upset and said "the devil said I would never get free". Please pray for ### to be saved and set free from whatever the devil has him in bandage to. Thank you

We are deeply moved by your concern for your nephew and your family, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). What your nephew experienced as a child was a direct attack from the devil, who delights in tormenting even the young and vulnerable. But we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). The blood of Jesus has already broken every chain, and the name of Jesus is above every name, including the name of the devil (Philippians 2:9-11).

Your nephew’s words reveal a spiritual battle, but we serve a God who is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We rebuke every lie of the enemy that has taken root in his mind or heart. The devil told him he would never be free, but the truth is that if the Son sets him free, he will be free indeed (John 8:36). We pray that the Holy Spirit would surround him with His peace, dismantle every stronghold of fear, and draw him with cords of love to the Father’s heart. Salvation is not earned; it is a gift of God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9). We pray that your nephew would come to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, that he would repent of his sins, and that he would be born again by the Spirit of God (John 3:3).

We also lift up the rest of your family, that they too would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. The enemy may have targeted your nephew, but we know that God desires all to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). We pray for a spiritual awakening in your family, that hearts would be softened, eyes would be opened, and ears would hear the voice of the Good Shepherd calling them home (John 10:27).

Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus, we come before You with hearts full of faith and compassion for this precious child and his family. We ask that You would send Your Holy Spirit to convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). Break every chain of fear, doubt, and deception that the enemy has wrapped around them. Let the light of Your truth shine into their hearts, revealing the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. We pray that Your Word would take root in their lives and produce fruit that lasts (Matthew 13:23).

Lord, we specifically ask for Your protection over your nephew. Guard his mind from the lies of the enemy and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Surround him with godly influences, people who will speak life, truth, and hope into his heart. We pray that he would come to know You as his Savior, that he would be washed clean by the blood of Jesus, and that he would be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. Let him experience the freedom that comes from being a child of God (Romans 8:15).

We also pray for wisdom and boldness for you and your family as you share the gospel with him. Give you the words to speak and the courage to live out Your faith before him. Let your life be a testimony of God’s grace and love, drawing him closer to Jesus. We ask that You would open doors for spiritual conversations and that Your Holy Spirit would prepare his heart to receive the truth.

Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your promise that those who seek You will find You (Jeremiah 29:13). We declare that your nephew is not bound by the enemy’s lies but is a child of God, destined for freedom and eternal life. We speak life, hope, and salvation over him and his family. May they come to know the depth of Your love and the power of Your resurrection.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We are grateful you shared this with us, and we hear how much love you carry for your nephew and for your whole family. Hearing a little five year old so upset and saying the devil told him he would never get free would stay with any aunt or uncle, and it makes sense you have held this burden for his salvation and freedom for a long time.

We join you in wanting to see him know Jesus for himself and walk in the freedom Christ gives. We believe the enemy does try to frighten and bind, but we also believe Jesus is stronger and His heart is to save and to set free.

One steady way to keep carrying him before the Lord is to keep praying for by name in simple daily prayer, and when you have opportunity, to share in your own words what Jesus has meant in your life. If he is still troubled by fear or bad nights, it can help to let his parents know you are praying and to encourage them to walk with a trusted pastor who can pray with personally and support the family face to face.

Father, we lift to You today and ask You to draw him to Yourself, to save him and to loose every bondage the enemy has tried to put on him. Cover him with Your peace and make Your love real to him, and give his family wisdom to guide and comfort him well. We ask this in Jesus name, amen.

Your burden for your nephew and for your family has been heard, and it is a right and tender burden to carry to the Lord. To hear a little child of five years say, the devil said I would never get free, is grievous, for it shows how early the enemy would seek to bind the soul with fear. Yet that word is a lie, for the devil is a liar from the beginning, and there is One who loosens the captive and brings forth His people out of the house of bondage.

Scripture teaches us that there is a bondage under sin and under the flesh and under the devil, and there is also a sense of bondage that the Spirit of God uses to make a soul feel its need and cry for mercy. In either case deliverance is not by our power. Salvation is of the Lord. When any man is saved from spiritual bondage, it is the Lord Jesus who loosens the captive, and He does it by the ransom He has found and paid upon the cross. God has not left us to find a ransom for ourselves, He has found it in His own Son, and therefore we may have confidence that He will set free those whom He holds.

The way of salvation is plain and open to all. The Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. It is not believing about Him, but believing on Him, trusting in Him, depending upon Him without fear as to present and eternal salvation. It is looking unto Jesus, and that look need not take a moment, for He has said, Look unto me and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth. This salvation is without money and without price, by divine grace through faith in Christ Jesus alone, and it is the only salvation that can break the chain the devil would fasten upon a soul.

We will join you in prayer for your nephew and for your whole family.

O Lord our God, we bring this dear child before Thee and all his household. Thou knowest the terror that seized him and the lying word that he would never be free. We ask Thee to show him that Jesus Christ is the great Deliverer who has broken the power of sin and Satan. Convict him of sin where needful, and then draw him to look unto Jesus and live. Grant him faith to trust in the Person of Christ, to believe on Him and be saved, and give him songs of deliverance in place of night terrors. Let Thy Spirit of adoption come upon him, that he may cry Abba Father and know himself free indeed. Do this for his family also, that they may together drink from the wells of salvation which are in Christ. For Thy glory and for their eternal good we ask it, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Continue to plead for him and to set Christ before him in love and in the plain gospel. The Lord hears the cry of those who seek Him, and He delights to show that deliverance is by divine power and of free grace only.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing this heavy burden and for your love for your nephew and your family. We join you in prayer for his salvation and for the salvation of your whole household, asking God to bring each one to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

We hear how deeply those words from when he was five have stayed with you, when he said the devil told him he would never get free. That is a cruel lie, and the truth of the gospel answers it directly. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil and to set captives free, and everyone who calls on the name of the Lord in true faith will be saved and will be free indeed.

Scripture reminds us that nothing that happens to us is hidden from our Father. Even the sparrows are known to Him, and the very hairs of our head are numbered. He loves His children more truly than any earthly father, and He is both able and willing to save. That does not mean He always removes every terror at once, but He gives us grace to not be afraid as those who are forsaken, and to despise the terrors of the enemy because Christ has already overcome them on the cross and in His resurrection.

So we pray for your nephew now:

Father in heaven, we lift up this young man to You and ask for Your mercy on his soul. Open his eyes to see his need for a Savior, and open his heart to receive Jesus Christ. Forgive his sins through the blood of Christ, give him new life by Your Holy Spirit, and break every bondage the enemy has used to frighten and hold him. Let him know that if the Son sets him free, he will be free indeed. Replace fear with faith, night terrors with Your peace, and lies with Your truth. Surround him with Your protection, and draw him into Your Word and into a faithful church where he can hear the gospel clearly and grow. We pray the same for his family, that each one would turn to Christ and walk worthily of You who calls us into Your kingdom and glory. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

Continue to pray for him faithfully, to speak the gospel to him plainly, and to share Scripture with him. Teach him that salvation is not by our own strength but by trusting Christ who died for sinners and rose again. Encourage him to call on the Lord, to read the Bible, and to bring every fear into the light of Christ. God hears the prayers of those who seek Him, and He is patient and merciful. We are standing with you in hope, trusting that the Lord who numbers our hairs and watches over every sparrow will keep and save all who belong to Him.

Your heart for your family and especially for your nephew is precious to the Lord, and it is right to bring him before God in prayer. What he expressed at five years old, that the devil said he would never get free, is a lie, and it reveals how the enemy works. He does not respect our power of choice. He seeks to blind minds, to poison thoughts against God, and to hold people in bondage and fear, especially in darkness when a night can feel endless. God, on the other hand, respects the will He gave us, yet He has provided a perfect salvation to set us free.

That salvation is found in Jesus alone. His very name means the Lord is salvation. He has become our salvation, our strength and our song. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty, freedom from condemnation and from the power that would keep a child in fear.

The Scripture says the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all people, and that grace is received through faith, not by our works. With the heart we believe and with the mouth we confess Jesus as Lord unto salvation. There will be a day when every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord, but for those who have refused Him it will not be unto salvation but to their own condemnation for having rejected Him. That is why the Bible urges us, behold, now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. We are not to delay or presume on tomorrow, because eternal destiny rests on responding to God's offer while He is near.

No one perishes because God withholds salvation, but because a person willfully rejects His offer. For those who are held in blindness, our prayers have real purpose. We cannot believe for another person, and they must themselves desire Him and ask Him for salvation, for whoever comes to Him He will never cast out. But our prayers can ask God to lift the veil, to break the spell and the bondage, so that the light of the gospel can be seen clearly and the person is free to make a true choice. We pray that God would open his eyes to see the truth of this glorious salvation that is offered in Christ.

God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ who died for us. That salvation comes through the Word. The mercy of God and the knowledge of His salvation come to us through His Word, and faith comes by hearing. So continue to pray and continue to put the Word before him as God gives opportunity, in love and without offense, so the ministry of reconciliation is not blamed.

We join you in prayer for him now.

Father, we thank You for Your grace that brings salvation and for Your heart to save. We lift this young man to You and ask that You would deliver him from every bondage and fear that the enemy has used to torment him, and from the lie that he could never be free. Set him free so he can see Jesus clearly. Open his eyes and soften his heart to understand Your love and the salvation You have provided through Your Son alone. Draw him by Your Spirit, help him to call upon the name of Jesus and to confess Him as Lord, and fill his home with the voice of rejoicing that belongs to those who know You. Give his family wisdom, patience, and words of truth spoken in love as they walk with him. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our salvation. Amen.

Keep praying and keep trusting the Lord to work. He is faithful to hear and to save all who call upon Him.
