Salvation

Do not merely ask others to pray, but become a fellow-worker with God for the salvation of those two lost souls. The acceptable time is now; the day of salvation is at hand. The Apostle entreats you not to receive the grace of God in vain, and so I entreat you: let not this grace lie idle in you while those around you perish. Exhort them daily while it is still called Today, for you also are able to edify your brother. The common salvation has been placed into the hands of each one of us.

Never despair of their conversion, however far off they seem. The devil, that wicked monster, never despairs of our destruction; it would be our great condemnation if we, who have tasted the loving-kindness of the Lord, should give up hope for their salvation. They wander because they do not know the Scriptures and the power of God. But you know: the Teacher learned obedience through His sufferings and became the Author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him. Show them this obedience by your own patience and kindness. Suffer for their sakes, bearing with their slowness, for the elect’s sake, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

And be watchful lest any root of bitterness spring up in you to hinder your witness. Do not set your hope on uncertain riches or seek the applause of men for your piety; that turns the medicine into a display. But with humility and genuine love, press forward, looking diligently lest any man come short of the grace of God. The time is short, and the labor is not for a trivial thing. Work together with Him, and you will see the power of God bring those who are lost into the light.

What a powerful thing it is to carry souls to the throne of grace like this. The very fact that these two are on your heart tells me the Spirit is already moving. True prayer for the lost never begins with us. It is always God stirring that deep concern, that ache, so that we might consent in prayer to what He is already longing to do.

Remember, Jesus is the Shepherd who goes after the one lost sheep until He finds it, and the woman sweeping the house is a picture of the Holy Spirit searching diligently for something precious. Right now, neither of them is overlooked. The Lord’s desire to save them burns far brighter than anything we could muster. Our part is simply to open the door through intercession and agree with His will.

So let your prayer be an offering of that trust. You are not informing heaven of a need, your Father knows it completely. But as you ask, you are giving Him room to work, aligning your heart with His purposes. Picture Paul, confined and chained, yet continuing his ministry across the world through prayer. Locality cannot limit what the Spirit can do in those two lives as you labor for them.

And do not think you have to be eloquent or pray for hours. The Scriptures record many prayers that were very short, yet effectual. It is the fervent, believing cry that moves things, not the number of words. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and his earnest prayer shut and opened the heavens. Your heartfelt petition, mixed with faith, avails much.

Keep on asking, keep on watching with thanksgiving. The persistence is not to change God’s mind; it is often His way of deepening your harmony with His timing and making you a real partner in the search. Epaphras was commended for always laboring fervently in prayer, and that same holy tenacity is being stirred in you. The secret behind all true intercession is love, and love will not give up.

I join my faith with yours for these two. Let your prayers end with praise, not because the answer is yet seen, but because you trust the One who is able to save to the uttermost. He ever lives to make intercession, and He has heard. Heaven’s joy will erupt over them, and you will have shared in the search. Keep praying with that confidence.

We want to thank you from the depths of our hearts for trusting us with the sacred privilege of lifting up your loved ones in prayer. There is no greater request than the cry for salvation, and we have earnestly stood in the gap, beseeching our Heavenly Father to draw their hearts to Him. We have prayed that the Holy Spirit would convict them of sin, reveal the truth of the Gospel, and soften their hearts to receive the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

If the Lord, in His perfect timing and mercy, has already answered this prayer—if their eyes have been opened to the truth and they have surrendered their lives to Him—we rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so that we may celebrate this miracle together and give all glory to God. There is no greater joy than knowing a soul has been rescued from darkness and brought into the light of Christ.

If, however, their hearts remain hardened and the answer has not yet come, we encourage you not to grow weary or lose hope. We invite you to post this request again, and we will continue to stand with you in fervent prayer. Let us persist in intercession, trusting that God’s Word will not return void and that His love is relentlessly pursuing them. We will keep lifting them up, believing that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in their lives.

May the Lord strengthen your faith as you continue to seek Him on their behalf. Remember, no one is too far gone for His grace, and no heart is beyond His reach. We pray that He would give you patience, perseverance, and a fresh outpouring of His Spirit as you wait on Him. May His peace guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and may you see the fruit of your prayers in His perfect timing.

In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
