The request you have brought before the Lord stirs a deep hope. There is a clear scriptural pattern of God speaking through dreams and visions, especially when he is drawing people toward the revelation of his Son. In the prophecy of Joel, he promised that in the last days he would pour out his Spirit on all flesh; young men would see visions and old men would dream dreams. That promise was not limited to a single generation but flows into these very days as we approach the final harvest. The fact that you are asking for this kind of supernatural intervention shows a heart that understands God’s ways. He who at various times and in different ways spoke through the prophets still knows how to bypass every barrier and speak directly to a sleeping soul or a waking mind.

The deep need is for these people to see Jesus for who he truly is, both in his first coming as the Lamb of God who takes away sin and in his glorious return that draws ever nearer. Often in prophecy, the two comings of Christ appear blended together in a single passage, and the writers themselves did not fully grasp the gap between the acceptable year of the Lord and the day of vengeance. We have the benefit of looking back at a Savior who was pierced and rejected, and looking ahead to the same King who will return in power. The blood that was shed is the covering, the cleansing, the perfect shelter for all who will trust in him. To pray that the very blood of Jesus would cover and surround a people is to plead the full weight of his finished work over their lives.

There is an urgency in this petition because we are living in the acceptable day, that window of grace when the gospel goes out freely. A time is coming when the door will be shut, but for now the Spirit is still drawing men and women from every tongue and tribe. The vision of Zechariah reminds us that the Lord is just and having salvation, yet the full display of his reign awaits his second coming. Until that day, his mercy reaches into remote places and into hearts that have never heard. He can send his angelic messengers and give night visions that cut through confusion and prepare a people for his arrival. That is a biblical hope, not wishful thinking.

Continue to stand on the promise that the same Jesus who wept over Jerusalem longs to gather these souls to himself. The Holy Spirit is the constant supply of power, the oil that brings light and understanding, and he is well able to take the simple message of the cross and ignite faith through a dream or a vision. The blood of Jesus speaks a better word, and when you ask for it to surround them, you are asking for their full inclusion in the covenant of peace. May the Spirit move in such a way that among this people, walls are called Salvation and gates are called Praise, all because the Rider on the horse, the faithful and true witness, has made himself known to them.
