We lift these two precious souls before the throne of grace, asking the Holy Spirit to move mightily in their lives. Father, You are the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to seek the one lost sheep. We pray for these two women, that You would shatter the deceptions of the new age that have blinded their hearts to the truth of Your Word. For the one grieving the loss of her mother, Lord, we ask that You would comfort her with the true comfort that only comes from You, as Your Word says in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." Let her find solace not in false teachings but in the hope of the resurrection and the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
For the other young woman who has recently broken free from the new age, we thank You for this step of deliverance. Yet, Lord, we ask that You would continue to open her eyes to any remaining deceptions and lead her into all truth. Your Word warns us in Colossians 2:8, "Be careful that you don’t let anyone rob you through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the elements of the world, and not after Christ." We pray that she would be rooted and built up in Christ, established in the faith, and overflowing with thankfulness.
We also lift up the child caught in the middle of this broken relationship. Father, we ask that You would protect this little one from the bitterness and strife that surrounds them. Let Your peace guard their heart and mind, and may they one day come to know You as their Savior. We rebuke the sin of fornication that led to this child being born outside of marriage, as Your Word clearly states in Hebrews 13:4, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." We pray for repentance and healing for both parents, that they would turn from their sin and seek Your will for their lives and the life of their child.
Lord, we are deeply concerned about the cult disguised as Christianity that the young man and his family are involved in. Your Word warns us in Matthew 7:15, "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves." We pray that You would expose the lies and deceptions of this cult, and that those involved would come to a saving knowledge of the truth. We also ask that You would reveal any mistreatment or abuse that this young woman may have endured, and that You would bring healing and justice according to Your perfect will.
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved. As Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We pray that these individuals would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, that they would repent of their sins, and that they would be born again by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Father, we ask that You would raise up godly men and women in their lives who can speak truth and love into their situations. Let them encounter Your Word and Your people, that they may see the light of the gospel and be drawn to You. We trust in Your promise in Jeremiah 29:13, "You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart."
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
