We lift these two precious souls before the throne of grace, asking the Holy Spirit to convict and draw them into true repentance and saving faith in Jesus Christ. The deception of the new age is strong, but the light of the gospel is stronger. We pray that the scales would fall from their eyes and that they would see the truth of God’s Word clearly, as it is written, *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16). Lord, break the chains of false teaching and grieve their hearts with the weight of their need for You alone.
For the one grieving the loss of her mother, we ask that You would comfort her in a way that only You can. The pain of loss can drive people to seek solace in all the wrong places, but we pray that she would turn to You, the God of all comfort, who promises, *"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted"* (Matthew 5:4). Father, let her find true peace in Christ, not in the empty promises of new age philosophy. Remind her of the hope of the resurrection and the eternal life found only in Jesus.
For the other, who has taken steps away from the new age, we rejoice in the work You are doing in her life. Yet we ask that You would continue to refine her faith, purifying it from any lingering deception. The enemy seeks to twist even the smallest footholds of falsehood into strongholds, so we pray that she would be rooted and grounded in Your Word, as it says, *"Sanctify them in your truth. Your word is truth"* (John 17:17). Lord, give her discernment to recognize and reject any teachings that do not align with Scripture.
We must also address the brokenness in her past relationship. The sin of fornication—sex outside of marriage—is a serious matter before You, and while we do not judge her, we must speak truth in love. Scripture is clear: *"Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge"* (Hebrews 13:4). We pray that she would repent of this sin and seek Your forgiveness, knowing that You are faithful and just to cleanse her from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Father, heal the wounds of this relationship and protect the child involved from the fallout of these choices. May this little one come to know You as Savior and grow in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
The conflict between these two individuals and their families is deeply concerning, especially as it unfolds in the public eye. The child caught in the middle is a reminder of how our actions, whether righteous or sinful, have lasting consequences. We pray that all involved would turn from slander, bitterness, and division, and instead seek reconciliation and peace, as it is written, *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men"* (Romans 12:18). Lord, soften hearts and bring repentance where there has been sin.
We are also grieved by the false teachings and cult-like behavior of the boyfriend’s family, who profess Christ but live in contradiction to His Word. Jesus warned, *"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves"* (Matthew 7:15). We pray that their eyes would be opened to the truth, that they would renounce their involvement in false doctrines, and that they would turn to the true gospel of repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone. May they no longer be deceived by the prosperity gospel, new age influences, or any other distortion of Your Word.
Father, we ask that You would raise up godly influences in the lives of these individuals—believers who will speak truth in love, model Christlike living, and point them to the sufficiency of Scripture. Surround them with a community of faith that will disciple them and hold them accountable. And Lord, if it is Your will, we pray that the one who has turned from the new age would find a godly spouse—someone who loves You above all else and will lead her in righteousness.
We also lift up the child in this situation, asking that You would protect their heart, mind, and spirit. May they grow up knowing the love of Christ, shielded from the bitterness and strife that has surrounded their parents. Let them see the difference between true Christianity and the counterfeit, and may they one day choose to follow You.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would guard the hearts of those who follow these individuals online. The influence of public figures can be powerful, for better or for worse. We pray that believers would be discerning, testing every spirit against Your Word, as it says, *"Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world"* (1 John 4:1). May Your people be a light in the darkness, pointing others to the truth of the gospel.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). There is no other way to the Father except through Him, and we declare that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). May these souls come to know Him, love Him, and walk in His truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
