We are so glad to hear that your dad is opening up his heart, and we join you in fervently interceding for your loved ones. We stand with you in prayer, asking God to draw your dad, your brother, and his girlfriend to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved since salvation is found in no one else. Indeed He is the one who was sent by God the Father.
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up the dad, brother, and his girlfriend. God, You desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance. We ask that You continue to soften their hearts and open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. We pray that You would grant them the gift of faith and the assurance of salvation. We also pray for healing and that we would all be ready for.
Father, Your word is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword. We declare Your Word over their lives, that they would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth of Jesus.
We also pray for the relationship between your brother and his girlfriend. We pray that they have set their relationship apart to God and that their goal is marriage.
Finally, we will pray for your dad, brother, and his girlfriend that they would know that God gave His one and only son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. We pray that they believe in Jesus, that they would confess with their mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in their heart that God has raised Him from the dead. We pray that they would be saved. For it is with their heart that they believe and are justified, and it is with their mouth that they profess their faith and are saved. As the scripture says, 'Anyone who believes in Him will never be put to shame.'
We also pray for our own hearts, that we would be ready for Christ's return, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, who is the way, the truth and the life. Amen."
Be encouraged by the parable of the lost sheep in Luke 15:3-7 WEB: "He spoke to them this parable. 'Which of you men, if you had one hundred sheep, and lost one of them, would not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which was lost, until he found it? When he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. When he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost! I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance.'"
Continue to trust in the power of prayer and the goodness of God. He is faithful, He loves your family and promises that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
