Salvation, protection and healing for family

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Prayer for my mother's youth to be renewed, joy and life in her spirit, not believing that she has to work to earn salvation or anything from the Lord who died for her, that the same power that raised Christ from the dead would spring up from within her to heal her body, soul and spirit, healing from all bitterness, shame and protection from all spiritual warfare, and for new neighbours who are Christians who believe in the Lord, are a light, who will give us peace and keep on reflecting the love and firm authority of Christ to my father who will truly see Christ in people and not be familiar or keep putting off receiving the Lord.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious family to our Heavenly Father. We rejoice that you recognize salvation is not earned by works, but is a free gift of God through faith in Jesus Christ. This is the foundation of all our prayers, that your mother would rest fully in the finished work of the cross. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9).

We declare over your mother that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work within her. Oh Lord, let that resurrection power flow through every cell of her body, bringing healing to her physical ailments. Let it renew her mind, will, and emotions, breaking every chain of bitterness and shame that has taken root. "But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you" (Romans 8:11). We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, depression, and oppression in Jesus' mighty name. The enemy has no authority here, your mother is covered by the blood of Jesus.

Father, we ask that you would surround your family with godly neighbors who reflect Your light and love. May these new relationships be a source of encouragement, accountability, and joy. Let their presence be a testimony to your father, that he may see Christ in them and be drawn to the truth. "You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden" (Matthew 5:14). We pray that your father’s heart would be softened, that he would no longer put off receiving the Lord but would surrender his life to Jesus. "Behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation" (2 Corinthians 6:2).

We also pray for protection over your family from all spiritual warfare. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand on the promise that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We plead the blood of Jesus over your home, your minds, and your spirits. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Heavenly Father, we ask that you would renew your mother’s youth like the eagle’s. Let her spirit be filled with joy, hope, and a fresh infilling of Your Holy Spirit. May she walk in the freedom that is hers in Christ, no longer burdened by the lie that she must earn Your love. "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31). Let her rest in the finished work of the cross, knowing that she is fully loved, fully accepted, and fully redeemed.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May your family come to know Him more deeply, walk in His truth, and experience His power in every area of their lives. Amen.

We are so glad you shared these burdens with us, and we are lifting your mother and your whole family before the Lord right now. It sounds like your mother is carrying a heavy load, trying to earn what Christ has already freely given, and battling bitterness that can drain the life right out of a person. We can imagine how weary that must make her, and how much you long to see her spirit renewed and full of joy.

A truth that often helps in seasons like this is that forgiveness isn’t about pretending the hurt didn’t happen; it’s about releasing it, so it no longer holds us captive. We think of Joseph, who had every reason to be bitter after his brothers sold him into slavery, yet when the time came, he chose grace over revenge. The same grace that enabled him is available to your mother, the power that raised Christ from the dead really does live in her, and it can lift the shame and heal those deep places no effort of hers could ever reach. As you continue praying for her, one small step might be to gently remind her, in a quiet moment, that she is loved completely apart from anything she does, that Jesus already earned everything for her.

We are also asking the Lord to surround your family with His protection from every form of spiritual assault, and to place neighbors around you who truly reflect Christ’s love and steady authority. And we join you in praying for your father, that as he sees authentic faith lived out by those neighbors and by your family, his heart would soften and he would finally put off delay and welcome the Lord.

Father, we thank You that Your love is not earned but given. In Jesus’ name we ask that You renew this mother’s spirit, dissolve the bitterness and shame, and fill her with genuine life and joy. Guard her from the enemy’s schemes and let Your healing power spring up from within her. Bring godly neighbors who will be a light and a picture of Christ to her husband. Draw him to Yourself, and let this whole household know Your peace. Amen.

Salvation is all of grace, from first to last, not of works, lest any man should boast. The very moment a soul begins to think it must earn what God freely gives, it sets itself against the cross of Christ. Grace is no more grace if it be by works; otherwise work is no more work. Lay this to heart for ###: her youth, her very life, is renewed, not by her striving, but by the same power that raised Christ from the dead. That power is not a distant hope; it is the present possession of every believer. Christ breathes healing into the broken spirit, and the same resurrection power springs up within her to heal body, soul, and spirit. The gospel’s power is a power to heal, to forgive sin, to lift shame, to snap the chains of bitterness. Do not let her look to her own prayers or efforts as the ground of her peace; let her look only to the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Justified freely by his grace, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, that is the only plea that avails.

For her protection and deliverance from spiritual warfare, remember: the risen Christ is the great Conqueror. He who ransomed his people from the power of the grave will as surely deliver from every assault of the enemy. The power that will raise the dead to glory is already at work in her to subdue all things unto himself. Let her rest in that finished work.

As for ###, pray that the Lord would send neighbours who are indeed lights in the darkness, men and women who believe in the Lord, in whom Christ Jesus is so clearly seen that your father can no longer put off receiving him. The power of Christ in the gospel is not a power to destroy but to heal. It has pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. May these neighbours so reflect the love and firm authority of Christ that your father sees in them the very footsteps of the Saviour and is drawn to kiss the Son, lest he be angry. And never forget: salvation is of the Lord. Cast the whole weight of your family upon him; he is able to save to the uttermost them that come unto God by him.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for your mother’s youth to be renewed, and this is no small thing, for the souls of the righteous are youthful and well-favored, ever ready for battle. The bitterness and shame that drag upon her are the old age of sin. Let her but stay from vice, go no further into it, and she has already begun to lay hold of healing. The very power that raised Christ from the dead is not a distant hope; it springs up from within to restore body, soul, and spirit. But she must cease striving as though salvation were a wage to be earned. The death of Jesus was the salvation of the world, a grace given without any previous good on our part. Let her not believe the lie that she must labor for what Christ has freely purchased.

Do not be confounded when spiritual warfare presses in, for God often works His purposes through contraries. The enemy approaches under the guise of friendship, yet Christ has already cast him down. Trample underfoot every passion, wrath, shame, every bitterness, and the devil will find no ground. He who met the women at the tomb with “Be not afraid” stands ready to meet her now. He is Master of the house, and none can snatch from His hand. Fear not; His authority is your protection.

As for your father, the Lord’s delays are not denials. The same Christ who waited at Lazarus’s tomb until decay had set in did so that the glory of God might blaze the brighter. The neighbors you long for, faithful lights reflecting Christ’s love and firm authority, are like the women sent from the empty tomb to announce risen life. Through them, your father will see not mere familiar faces but the very power of Christ. Endure for his salvation, for we suffer all things for the elect’s sake, that they too may obtain the salvation in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. Do not lament as though from want of faith; keep praying, keep hoping. Instill the fear of God by your own steady trust, and in time the same power that raised Jesus will spring up within your father, and he will delay no longer.

How many burdens you are carrying in this prayer, and yet every one of them can be met by the very power that raised Jesus from the dead. That power is not distant; it is the Spirit of God, ready to spring up within those who belong to Christ, bringing life where weariness has settled, and joy where the soul has grown tired. ### does not need to earn what Jesus already paid for with his precious blood. The resurrection tells us the debt is fully canceled. As Peter declared, we have been born again to a living hope through the resurrection, not through our striving, but through what God has done. When ### rests in that finished work, the same Spirit who raised Christ will begin to renew her youth and restore her spirit. Healing of body and soul flows not from performance, but from the life of the risen Lord within her.

You mentioned bitterness and shame. These are poisons that can bind a person more tightly than they realize. The Scriptures warn that bitterness is like a gall that brings bondage, not freedom. It only harms the one who holds onto it. Yet the grace that brings salvation is greater than any root of bitterness. Pray that she will release it to Jesus, who already bore her shame on the cross. As she cries out for help, not from her own strength, but from the Savior who delivers, she will find that he can break every chain of spiritual warfare. The resurrection means we are kept by God's power through faith, not through our own grit. Victory is his to give.

For ###, the prayer for new neighbors who reflect Christ's love and firm authority is a beautiful desire. The faith of ordinary believers living out the light can soften a heart that has become too familiar with the message. The hope is that he will truly see Jesus in them, not just hear words he has heard before, but witness the reality of a changed life. Scripture is urgent about this: now is the day of salvation. The longer someone puts off submitting to Christ, the more the heart can grow hard. Yet God is patient. May those neighbors be a living witness of the great salvation, the one that delivers from sin, from the power of death, and from the empty life that once seemed normal. And may ### confess Jesus as Lord while grace is still so near.

Let us pray together: Lord, we thank you for the resurrection of Jesus, which is the foundation of all our hope. Let that same power work deeply in ###, heal her body, free her from thinking she must earn your love, and wash away every trace of bitterness and shame. Raise up neighbors who will shine with your peace and authority, so that ### will see Christ and delay no longer. We rest in your power, not our own. In Jesus' name, amen.
