We lift up your friend before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, for the Scriptures declare, "For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:13 WEB) It is clear that salvation is the greatest need of every soul, and we join you in earnest prayer that your friend would turn from pagan practices and worldly relationships to embrace the truth of Jesus Christ. The Word warns us, "Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom." (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 WEB) Yet we also know that "such were some of you, but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God." (1 Corinthians 6:11 WEB)
We must address the seriousness of pagan ideology, for the Lord commands, "You shall have no other gods before me." (Exodus 20:3 WEB) The in-and-out relationships your friend has been involved in may well include fornication, which is sexual immorality outside the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. The Bible is clear: "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." (Hebrews 13:4 WEB) We rebuke these sins in Jesus' name and pray for conviction, repentance, and transformation.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken hearts for this precious soul who does not yet know You. We ask that You would open their eyes to see the emptiness of pagan ways and the futility of relationships that do not honor You. Lord, send Your Holy Spirit to convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment. Soften their heart to receive the truth of Your Word and the saving grace of Jesus Christ. We pray for dreams, visions, or divine encounters that would draw them to You. Surround them with believers who will shine Your light and share the Gospel with love and boldness.
We also lift up our sister in Christ who has submitted this request. Father, we ask that You would help her to trust You fully and not interfere with Your work. Give her wisdom in knowing when to speak and when to remain silent, when to act and when to wait on You. Guard her heart from frustration or discouragement, and fill her with Your peace and patience. Help her to be a faithful witness, reflecting Your love and holiness in all she does.
Lord, we declare that no plan of the enemy will prosper in this situation. We break every chain of deception, idolatry, and immorality in the mighty name of Jesus. We pray for a supernatural hunger and thirst for righteousness to rise up within this friend. May they come to know the joy of salvation, the freedom of forgiveness, and the hope of eternal life. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved. Amen.
