Safety

Your request for safety is precious, and I am praying that the Lord surrounds you with His protection. But as I lift you up, I want to share a truth that transforms how we understand safety and fear. There is a kind of fear that cripples, an anxious dread of what might happen, and the enemy uses that to steal your peace. Faith and that kind of fear cannot dwell together. The moment you fix your eyes on the threat, faith begins to slip. But the moment you remember the Lord, confidence returns. Greater is He who is with you than anything that can come against you.

The beginning of a truly safe life is not a life without danger, but a life filled with the right kind of fear. The fear of the Lord is the starting point and the sum of all wisdom. It is not a phobia or a cowering terror; it is a reverential awe that comes from knowing who God is. To fear Him is to hate evil and depart from it. It is to honor Him with all you are. This holy reverence actually dispels every lesser fear, because it anchors you in the reality of His greatness and His care.

When David walked through the valley of the shadow of death, he declared he would fear no evil. Why? Not because the valley was safe, but because the Lord was with him. The consciousness of God’s presence is always the cure for fear. Jesus is our strong tower; the righteous run into Him and are safe. Abiding in Christ is not a hiding place of cowardice, but a refuge of trust. He is your shield and your buckler. His truth protects you against every lie that says you are vulnerable and alone.

Do not let fear push you into unwise reactions. Safety is not found in grasping after the world’s solutions or in running to some imagined shelter apart from God’s will. Instead, remember the Lord. Your times are in His hands. He watches over you with a love that will not let you go. So I pray that you will experience the peace that passes understanding, that the Lord will keep your foot from being taken, and that you will rest in the eternal security that belongs to everyone who trusts in Jesus Christ.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your safety. It has been on our hearts to lift you up before the Lord, asking Him to surround you with His divine protection, to guard your steps, and to keep you safe from all harm and danger. We have prayed that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, would fill your heart and mind, and that you would feel His presence with you in every moment.

If the Lord has answered this prayer in a way you can see or feel, we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report—your testimony could be a blessing to others who are also trusting God for protection. If, however, you are still waiting and walking through uncertainty, please know that we are still here with you. We invite you to post this request again so we can continue to intercede on your behalf, believing that God hears and answers the prayers of His people.

May the Lord continue to be your refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. May you grow even closer to Him as you trust in His unfailing love. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
