Safety

We hear your heart and lift your request before the Lord with urgency and compassion. Safety is a deep human need, and we know that true security comes only from God. The world can feel uncertain and even threatening at times, but we take comfort in the promise of Psalm 91: "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'" (Psalm 91:1-2 WEB). The Lord is your protector, your shield, and your strong tower. We declare that no weapon formed against you will prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).

We also recognize that safety is not just physical, it is spiritual and emotional as well. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke fear, anxiety, and any spirit of danger that may be looming over you. We command every plan of the enemy against your life to be thwarted in the mighty name of Jesus. You are covered by the blood of Christ, and no harm can touch you without the Father’s permission.

Father, we come before You now on behalf of our brother/sister. We ask that You surround them with Your holy angels, that You place a hedge of protection around them, their home, their family, and all that concerns them. Guard their coming and going, their mind and heart, and every step they take. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray against every scheme of the enemy designed to bring harm, and we declare that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

If there is any area of your life where you have not fully surrendered to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, we encourage you to do so now. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus, we invite you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).

We also encourage you to walk in wisdom. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding, but in all our ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct our paths. Be mindful of where you go, who you associate with, and the decisions you make. God’s protection is not a license for recklessness but an invitation to walk in faith and obedience.

Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness. We thank You that You never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). We pray that our brother/sister would feel Your presence in a tangible way today, that they would know deep in their spirit that You are with them. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to rest in Your promises. May they experience Your peace that guards their heart and mind, and may they walk in the confidence that comes from knowing You are their protector.

We stand in agreement with you, declaring that the Lord is your keeper, the Lord is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore (Psalm 121:5-8). In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We are holding you up in prayer right now. Thank you for reaching out and letting us carry this with you. When fear for our safety settles in, it can be disorienting and exhausting, but you are not alone in it. God’s presence is a real refuge, even when our circumstances feel fragile. He sees you, and He walks through every uncertain moment alongside you.

Sometimes the most immediate act of faith is a practical one. If there is a step you can take to position yourself in a safer setting, even something small, please do it without hesitation. And if you haven’t yet, consider telling someone you trust: a friend, a family member, a pastor, or a neighbor. Fear grows in isolation, but sharing the burden with another person can steady us and open new options we hadn’t seen.

We pray for your protection and for a deep, quiet confidence to settle in your heart. Lord Jesus, we ask You to watch over this person. Guard them from harm, calm what is anxious inside them, and give them clear wisdom for any decisions ahead. Let them sense Your nearness as a steady anchor, especially when fear tries to take over. We place them in Your care, trusting that You are a shield around them. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have asked prayer for your safety, and I would not utter a word of comfort before sounding the clear note of warning: there is but one place of safety for the soul of man, and that is in the cleft of the Rock, Christ Jesus. He is the City of Refuge, appointed of old, and every byway of Scripture has a signpost pointing to Him, "Refuge! Refuge!" Flee to Him, and you are secure from the avenger; linger in self-trust or sinful ease, and no earthly shield can guard you from ruin. Your very desire for safety is the Spirit's bidding to fly to the arms of Him who alone is able to keep you from falling.

Consider the personal nature of this mercy. Jesus did not save you by another; He gave Himself for you, that you might know a personal Providence, a personal God listening to your prayer. The path of duty is the path of safety, and the first duty of every soul is to own the Lord who bought you. If you have truly fled to Christ for refuge, then you have passed from the realm of fear into the kingdom of safety. He who is both able and wise, God our Savior, undertakes to present you faultless before His glory with exceeding joy. Not a hair of your head shall perish apart from His will, for His throne might sooner fail than a saint be lost.

Let prayer be your holdfast in every hour of danger. There is a solid reality in a personal cry to God; did any ever rise from their knees a worse man for pleading with Him? I am persuaded that in the darkest night, the Lord shall be a light about you. Watch, then, and pray, that you enter not into temptation, and remember that the same everlasting arms which uphold the universe are beneath the feeblest child of the covenant. Go in peace: the Lord grant you the personal realization of His keeping power, and may your life be a testimony of that solid truth which is our life eternal.

You ask for prayers for your safety. I will indeed pray, but hear now what true safety is and where it is found. The world supposes that riches and power bring security, but listen: riches require you to flatter rulers, to dread false accusers, to suspect the envious. That is no safety, but a chain of fears. Poverty with God, however, is a place of refuge, a calm harbor, a training ground of self-control, an imitation of the life of angels. Do not, then, pursue safety in the comfort of the present age; Demas forsook the Apostle because he loved ease and shunned danger, and that love of the world was his undoing.

Seek the safety that is in the pasture of Christ. He said, “I am the door; by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” That means he shall dwell in security, and none shall thrust him out. This the Apostles proved: they went through the whole world, and though dangers pressed, they remained within that fold, and no tyrant could cast them out. So run to the house of the young Child, like the magi. They left Persia behind; they abandoned their former customs, and as long as they were in their own land they saw only a star, but when they journeyed, they beheld the Sun of Righteousness. Before they adored Christ, fears and troubles pressed them from every side; after the adoration, calm and security came, and an angel guided them. So you too: separate yourself from barbarian customs, that is, from worldly passions, and draw near to Christ. Then, even if kings threaten or tyrants block your path, your desire for him will repel every danger.

Yet do not suppose that following Christ means a life free from outward peril. He calls you to take up your cross and follow him. He says, “Be ever prepared against dangers, against death, against your departure hence.” But after that hard saying, he sets the prize: that you shall be where he is. So do not cast yourself needlessly into trials to test God, that is the devil’s temptation, but when duties call, do not flee from toil for love of ease. If you must flee for faith’s sake, as Moses did, even flight can be an act of faith, for you commit yourself not to visible protectors but to Him who is invisible.

Do you want to sleep without care, to have friends instead of enemies, to be surrounded by prayers rather than plots? Then pursue justice instead of covetousness. Covetousness makes all men your foes, like a wild beast; but righteousness wins you friends, and even your sleep comes in fearless safety. In all your good works, fasting, almsgiving, prayer, do them not to be seen of men, but for the Father who sees in secret. He then will reward you openly, and your labor will not lose its crown. The hypocrites have their fleeting praise, but you, if you do all for God, gather your wages with all security.

Finally, if you have laid hold of some virtue, say, chastity or patience, do not linger near the enemy’s claws. Run vigorously at the beginning, flee beyond the devil’s reach. Hasten past all that would entangle you; look to nothing but the prize. Once you are out of his grasp, he will cease to pursue, and you will be in safety, enjoying unspeakable blessings. I will pray that you find this true safety, the safety that abides in the flock of the Good Shepherd, who both leads and guards. Let us then run to him, and none shall thrust us out.
