We are praying for you and your household right now for the Lord's protection and peace in this unsettling situation.
It is right to bring your fear before God and to ask Him to keep you safe. Scripture says the Lord is a stronghold for those who fear Him, and that when we walk in His ways our affairs are in His hands and we can find safety even when outward circumstances are uncertain. He sees where you are and He hears your prayer in Jesus name.
We pray now: Father in heaven, we ask You in the name of Jesus Christ to place Your hand of protection over this home and everyone inside. Keep them from harm, calm their hearts, grant them wisdom to act with care, and let Your peace guard them through the night. We ask also for mercy for the man outside, that You would keep him from harming himself or others and lead him to help and to sobriety. Let Your presence be a stronghold around this dwelling. Amen.
In addition to prayer, please take practical steps for safety. Keep doors locked and maintain distance and do not try to move or confront the man while he is intoxicated. If you feel at all threatened or if he does not leave, please contact local authorities or a trusted neighbor for help right away, and keep your family together inside until help arrives. If you have a way to let someone nearby know of the situation, do so.
