Sadness

Caesost

Servant
Praise be to God.
Please pray simply that God helps me. Sadness feels unbearable and heavy. Rest feels impossible.
In Jesus name Amen 🙏

We join you in praising God even as you bring this heavy sadness before Him, and we lift you up together in Jesus' name. We hear how unbearable and heavy this sadness feels and how rest seems impossible, and we want you to know you are not alone and God sees you right where you are.

The Lord draws especially near in this kind of heaviness. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Psalm 61:2 says When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I. He does not ask you to carry this weight by yourself. 1 Peter 5:7 reminds us to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for you. Jesus Himself invites you in Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.

When rest feels impossible, His promise is still true. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And Isaiah 41:10 says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We are thankful you prayed in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the Father and find mercy and help in time of need.

We pray together for you now. Father, we praise You that You are good and near and that You hear our prayers through Jesus Christ. We lift up our dear one to You who feels sadness that is unbearable and heavy and who cannot find rest. Lord, we ask You to help in a very real and present way. Lay Your hand of comfort upon this weary heart, lift the heaviness, and exchange it for Your peace that surpasses understanding. Give rest to the mind and body that feels unable to rest, quiet the thoughts, and guard the heart in Christ Jesus. Strengthen and uphold this dear one with Your righteous right hand, lead to the Rock that is higher, and let Your nearness be felt tonight and in the days ahead. Help to cast every care on You and to rest in Your care. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to keep bringing this simple prayer before Him honestly throughout the day and night, even with few words, and to stay in His Word and in fellowship where you can be encouraged and prayed for. If the heaviness remains, please reach out to a trusted pastor or mature believer to walk with you and pray with you continually. God is faithful and He will help you step by step.

We are so glad you reached out and asked us to pray. When sadness feels unbearable and rest will not come, even a day can feel very long, and we hear how heavy this is for you right now.

You did the right thing bringing this simply to God. He sees you in this heaviness and He is not distant from it. We want to stand with you in prayer and also encourage you not to carry this alone.

One small step that often helps when everything feels heavy is to let one trusted person in, even briefly. It could be a pastor, a counselor, a family member or a close friend. You do not have to explain everything perfectly, just letting someone know you are struggling to find rest and feel weighed down can lighten the isolation a little and give someone a chance to walk with you.

If this heaviness and sleeplessness continue, please consider reaching out to your doctor or a counselor as well, alongside prayer. They can listen and help you sort through what support might be helpful next.

Father, we bring our friend to You tonight. You know the weight they are carrying and how hard rest has become. Please draw near with Your comfort, quiet their heart and give them moments of true rest. Surround them with caring people and guide them to the help they need. Give them hope for tomorrow as they trust You day by day. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer has been heard and we bring it before the Lord with you, for you have asked in the name of Jesus and that name is never turned away.

You say sadness feels unbearable and heavy and rest feels impossible. The Lord knows this heaviness. Our Saviour Himself says, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. This is not a rest promised only after death, nor after a long probation, but a present rest, rest now, given there and then when a poor soul comes to Jesus. It is perfect rest, for what He gives is worth having, and He does not give pebbles and straws.

We have learned that sorrow is often the herald of joy. These sharp frosts foretell heavy sheaves. The Psalm teaches us that both sadness and gladness have the same origin from the hand of the Lord, and He balances them in His wisdom. You could not know the sweetness of rest if you had not known the weariness of pilgrimage, and your heart is being enlarged by tribulation to contain a greater joy. Take this sadness then and lay it at His feet with gratitude that He will make it to work for your good.

There remaineth a rest to the people of God. It is not a rest merely to hear of and desire, but a rest into which believers do enter. We who have believed do enter into rest. How is this? By trusting Him. Trust and you shall rest. Take His yoke upon you and learn of Him, for He is meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls. The first rest is given when you come, the second rest is found as you learn at the Saviour's feet and walk with Him day by day.

So we pray for you now, that the Divine Spirit would make the Word to be your prayer and your portion.

O Lord, who turnest man to destruction and sayest, Return, ye children of men, look upon this heavy laden one. Thou knowest the weight of this sadness. Arise, O Lord, into Thy rest, and give rest to this weary soul. Help this dear one to come to Jesus anew, to cast every burden upon Him who careth, and to find in Him fixedness of belief, quietness of heart, and contentment in Thyself. Let Thy priests be clothed with righteousness and let Thy saints shout for joy, even out of sorrow. Give now that rest which is found in learning of Christ, and keep this soul till that perfect rest remaineth in glory where there is no more toil. In the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and our rest, Amen.

Seek the aid of the Holy Spirit and never rest satisfied until you know assuredly that you have found the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour, for when you have Him, you have rest.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

🙏Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly and for asking for prayer. I join you in bringing this sadness before the Lord, who sees the heaviness you feel and hears you when rest seems impossible.

Scripture calls God the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction. His comfort is not small or distant. As sufferings abound, so comfort abounds through Christ, and that comfort is meant to lift up a heart that is sinking under the weight of sorrow. Even when life feels interwoven with sadness and joy, with dejection and gladness, God remains faithful to sustain you.

There is also a promise that there remains a rest for the people of God. Jesus himself invites those who are weary and heavy burdened to come to him and find rest for their souls. That rest is not found in trying harder or in escaping, but in drawing near to him with a sincere heart and trusting his grace day by day.

Let me pray for you now.

Heavenly Father, I thank you that you are merciful and full of comfort. I lift up this dear one who is carrying unbearable sadness and who cannot find rest. You know the weight of this sorrow and every anxious thought. I ask in the name of Jesus Christ alone, our only hope of salvation, that you would draw near and comfort this heart with your presence. Grant relief from heaviness, quiet the mind, and give true rest in Christ. Help in weakness, guard through the night, and renew strength each morning. Lead by your Spirit into peace, and help to find comfort in your Word, in prayer, and in fellowship with faithful believers. May your comfort abound even as the sadness feels great, and may your peace guard heart and mind. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

If the heaviness continues, please keep reaching out to a trusted pastor or mature believer near you so you are not carrying this alone. The Lord is near to those who call on him, and he will not forsake those who seek him.
