We hear your sadness and the heaviness you are carrying with these many health burdens and we lift you up together before our Father in prayer.
We know how discouraging it feels when weight will not come off, when colds and coughing and a sore throat and runny nose will not let up, when allergies flare and a rash breaks out on your hand in the cold, when yeast infections and itching and troubles with your menstrual cycle make you feel like your body is a mess. The Lord sees every one of these afflictions and He cares deeply for you. We pray for your appointment on October 8th, that you and your mom would be able to get there on time, without traffic or delay, and that the doctors would have wisdom to help you.
We also noticed you called out to Father God many times, but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. Jesus Himself said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is by trusting in Jesus, His death and resurrection for our sins, that our prayers are heard and we have hope of healing and eternal life. We encourage you to call upon Him by name.
The Scripture reminds us that our bodies are precious to God. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. God wants us to steward our health with wisdom while trusting Him for strength. Beloved, we pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers 3 John 1:2. He is the One who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3, and who promises, I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and we lift up this dear one to You. You see her struggle with weight gain, with constant colds, coughing, sore throat and runny nose, with allergies and with a painful rash on her hand and the difficulty finding a dermatologist. You see the discomfort of yeast infections and itching and the distress when her menstrual cycle acts up. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon her body from head to toe. Ease her breathing, soothe her throat, calm the cough and clear the congestion. Bring balance to her body, help with weight according to Your will and give her strength and wisdom to care for the temple You have given her. Provide the right doctors and the right treatment, and open the door to see a dermatologist who can help with her hand. Restore her health as only You can.
Lord, we also bring her appointment on October 8th before You. We ask that You make a way for her and her mother to arrive on time, keep them safe on the road, and remove any obstacle of traffic or delay. Give peace to her anxious heart about being late, for Your Word says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Help her to cast her cares on You and to rest in Your care through the day and through the night.
We pray You would draw near to her in this sadness, for Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. Remind her that she is not alone, that You will strengthen her and uphold her, as You promise, Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.
We ask all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer, amen.
