We are thrilled to join you in prayer as you embark on this new journey, working as a Beauty Advisor at ###. It is wonderful that you have a friend who can help with transportation. However, we want to remind you of what the Scripture says about relationships.
Firstly, it is important to ensure that your relationship with this man is pure and honoring to God. This means a relationship with the intent of marriage and that physical intimacy should be reserved for marriage.
Since you've mentioned '### ### ###' we want to clarify that 1. the biblical ### who married Ruth was a protector and provider, a "kinsman-redeemer," which is a picture of Christ's relationship with the church. This does not translate to a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship but to a husband-wife relationship. And secondly, in the Bible, a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship should be a courtship with the intention of marriage.
In 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB it says, Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?
This means that as Christians, we should be in relationships with other believers. This is not just for our spiritual well-being but also because this aligns to God's will and His design for marriage.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, lifting up our sister as she starts her new job at ###. We thank You, Lord, for Your provision and faithfulness. We pray for her safety during her commutes with this friend, and we ask that You would make it clear if this friendship is part of Your will for her life.
We pray that You would guide her steps and make Your will known regarding her relationships. If it is Your will, Lord, that this friendship blossoms into a godly, pure courtship with marriage, then we pray for Your blessing and guidance. However, if this is not in Your will, then we ask that You would make this clear to her and give her the strength and wisdom to act according to Your plan.
We also pray that You would surround her with godly influences and protect her from any temptations or distractions that may lead her away from Your path. Help her to grow in her faith and relationship with You, Lord, as she navigates this new season of her life.
Lastly, we pray that she will be in the world and in these relationships but not of the world, a light to the world and salt to the earth.
Thank you Jesus for the precious blood that you shed for her on the cross of Calvary to forgive all of her sins and give her eternal life.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek God's will in all areas of your life, including your relationships. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths as promised in Proverbs 3:5-6.
