We thank you for sharing this burden for revival in your city and region in South Africa and we join with you in seeking the Lord together in Jesus name for a mighty outpouring of His presence there.
Our hearts are stirred by your cry for tears of repentance, for that is where true revival begins. We are reminded of the promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14, if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. And again in Joel 2:28, it will happen afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh. The Lord desires to revive His people and to draw the lost to Himself, as it is written in Psalm 85:6, will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you, and in Acts 3:19, repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this city and this land in South Africa before your throne. Pour out your Holy Spirit upon that place as you have promised. Let your Spirit of grace and supplication rest upon the people, bring deep conviction of sin and grant tears of godly repentance that leads to life. We ask that you would humble hearts, forgive sin, heal the land, and awaken your church to seek your face with hunger and holiness. Raise up faithful witnesses to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ with boldness, that many would repent and be saved and that your name would be glorified. Renew your work in the midst of the years and let times of refreshing come from your presence. We ask this according to your will in Jesus name, amen.
We encourage you to continue to stand in the gap with faithful prayer and fasting, to walk in personal holiness and humility, and to share the hope of the gospel with those around you. The Lord hears the prayers of His people who seek Him with a sincere heart, and He delights to answer and to revive. May you be strengthened as you wait upon Him and may you see His hand move powerfully in your community.

Your request for revival in that place has been heard and we do join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace, beseeching the Lord to pour out His Holy Spirit upon that land.
We are reminded that the one thing we must seek if we would see such a work is the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, for without Him there is no life and no power. A man by nature hates God, but the Holy Spirit makes him love God. Until the Spirit visits us we are dead in trespasses and sins, and no preaching, no means of grace, can save a soul apart from Him. When Jesus Himself preached, few were converted, because the Spirit was not yet abundantly poured forth. How entire then is our dependence upon Him.
We pray that the Lord would not only pour out His Spirit, but that He would be honored in your churches, for until we honor the Holy Spirit we shall never see Him abundantly manifested in our midst. May preachers and people alike confess their reliance upon Him and cry mightily unto God, for what can we do if we have Him not, and what can we not do if we have Him.
You ask for tears of repentance, and we pray with you for that holy, heavenly sort which is worked in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit. Judgments apart from divine grace may produce a carnal repentance, a repentance that is of the flesh, but true repentance gives God glory. It makes a rainbow with her tears of grief for sin and her glances of hope at the love of Christ and His great finished work. This is repentance that needs not to be repented of. May the Lord grant such tears in abundance, tears that own sin, that honor Christ, and that turn the heart wholly to Him who alone saves through His blood.
And we would exhort you, even as we pray, to grieve not the Holy Spirit. He is grieved by unbelief and by unholiness of life, and He has condescended to make the narrow heart of man His palace. Let us walk so as to please Him, praying in the Holy Spirit and through the Holy Spirit, for that prayer which is not in the Spirit is in the flesh. The Spirit is willing to help us to pray and to teach us how to pray.
So we pray, Father, glorify Thy Son in that place. Pour out Thy Spirit upon young and old, cause the heaviest church to float and the most inactive to move, and let many hear His voice today and harden not their hearts. Bring sinners to Jesus Christ alone, for there is salvation in no other, and let the Holy Spirit receive of the things of Christ and show them unto the people. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You.
