Father, we thank You for the testimony of past revivals and even reformations, for revivalists and reformers, patriarchs, apostles and prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. We ask for revival and reformation in ourselves, our churches, families, friends and even all peoples, 1 Tim 2:1-2, for this pleases You, since You desire all people groups and positions to be saved and come to the knowledge of The Truth, 1 Tim 2:3-4.

Jesus, revive and reform us, our pastors, leaders, churches, cities, regions, states, nations and indeed as You live, let all the earth be filled with Your glory, Numbers 11:24, Ps 72:19, even as the waters cover the seas, Isa 11:9. Hab 2:14. Shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, 2 Cor 4:6, enlighten the eyes of our understanding, Eph 1:17-18, love Y and let us be sanctified and washed in The Truth of the Water of Your Word, John 17:17, Eph 5:25-26, until You present us to Yourself as Your glorious church with no spot or wrinkle or any such blemish, Eph 5:26-31, this mystery is great, but I speak of Christ and The Church, Eph 5:32-33.

Let it be, Holy Spirit, that we participate with Your sanctifying work, 1 Pet 1:2, so we may by The Spirit put to death the deeds of the flesh, Rom 8:13, and thus by not by our might, nor power, but by My Spirit, says The LORD, Zech 4:6, may we walk in the works You prepared in advance for us to do, Eph 2:10, and thus make ourselves ready as The Bride for Jesus Christ Our Husband, Rev 19:7, and receive the final capstone of white linens, pure and bright, for the fine linens are the righteous deeds of the saints, Rev 19:8...

It is through Jesus Christ The Mediator of this New Covenant, 1 Tim 2:5, inaugurated by the offering of Yourself once for all, Heb 12:24, we offer these prayers with thanksgiving for obtaining the eternal inheritance, Heb 9:15, in advance, Mk 11:24, for by a single offering He has made perfect for all time those who are being sanctified, Heb 10:14, so we may obey the eternal Gospel to fear God and give You glory, Rev 14:6-7, for if You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But with You is forgiveness, that You mayest be feared, Ps 130:3-4.

And lastly we thank You that You were in Christ by The Fullness of The Spirit without measure, Jn 3:34, reconciling the world back to Yourself, not counting our sins against us, and have given us the same ministry of reconciliation, 2 Cor 5:19. Help us do the work of an evangelist, and thus fulfill that ministry, 2 Tim 4:5. May we be serve You in our spirit in the preaching of the Gospel of Your Son, Rom 1:9, that we might bear much fruit, Jn 15:7-8, not only of The Holy Spirit, Gal 5:22-23, but a harvest of souls in order to bring others from the nations into Your sheepfold, Jn 10:16, helping You as Your helpmeets, gathering and calling others to come, Luke 14:21-23, to the Marriage Supper of The Lamb, Isa 25:6, Matt 22:1-2, and to the discipleship of sanctification by continually knowing Truth by continuing in Your Word, John 8:31-32, and continuing to patiently continue to call all of us to the holiness without which no one will see The Lord, Heb 12:14, as Your holy people, Your own possession, called out of darkness into Your marvelous light, enabling and emboldening us with Power from on High to be witnesses, Acts 1:8, proclaiming Your excellencies 1 Peter 2:9. Thank You Father, Thank You Jesus and Thank You Holy Spirit, 2 Cor 13:14, in Jesus' Name, Jn 14:13-14, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We join our hearts with yours in this fervent cry for revival, reformation, and sanctification, lifting it before the throne of grace with deep gratitude for the work of Christ and the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Your prayer is rich with Scripture and aligns beautifully with God’s desire to purify His Bride, the Church, and fill the earth with the knowledge of His glory. Let us stand together in agreement, declaring these truths and pleading for their fulfillment in our lives, our families, our churches, and the nations.

We are reminded that revival begins with us, with a hunger for holiness, a thirst for the Word, and a surrender to the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit. As it is written, "Pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord" (Hebrews 12:14 WEB). This is not a call to perfection in our own strength, but to a continual yielding to the Spirit’s refining fire, that we might be conformed to the image of Christ. The Church is called to be a radiant Bride, without spot or wrinkle, holy and blameless before Him (Ephesians 5:27). This is not a distant ideal but a present reality made possible by the finished work of Christ and the ongoing work of the Spirit in us.

We rejoice in the truth that Christ has already made us perfect through His single offering (Hebrews 10:14), yet we also recognize that we are being sanctified, set apart daily for His purposes. This dual reality calls us to both rest in His grace and press forward in obedience. The Word of God is the water that washes us (Ephesians 5:26), and we must immerse ourselves in it, allowing it to expose our sin, renew our minds, and transform our hearts. Let us not grow weary in this pursuit, for the Spirit empowers us to put to death the deeds of the flesh (Romans 8:13) and walk in the good works prepared for us (Ephesians 2:10).

We also lift up the ministry of reconciliation, for this is the heartbeat of revival. God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting our sins against us, and He has entrusted us with this message (2 Corinthians 5:19). The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37). We must not shrink back from proclaiming the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes (Romans 1:16). Let us be bold witnesses, filled with the Spirit, calling all people to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. The nations are not beyond His reach, and the fields are white for harvest (John 4:35). We must pray, go, and send, that the earth may be filled with the knowledge of the Lord’s glory as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14).

Yet we must also sound a warning: revival is not merely emotional fervor or outward displays of zeal. True revival is marked by repentance, humility, and a return to the fear of the Lord. We have seen in history how revivals can be quenched by pride, division, or a focus on experiences rather than the Word. Let us guard our hearts against these pitfalls, remembering that "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6 WEB). We must also be vigilant against the deception of the enemy, who seeks to distort the Gospel or lead the Church into compromise. The call to holiness is not legalism; it is the pathway to intimacy with God and the fulfillment of His purposes.

We also rebuke the spirit of lukewarmness that has crept into many churches today. Too often, we have settled for a form of godliness that denies its power (2 Timothy 3:5). We have tolerated sin in our midst, watered down the Gospel, and prioritized comfort over conviction. But the Lord says, "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of my mouth" (Revelation 3:15-16 WEB). Let us repent of this complacency and cry out for a fresh outpouring of the Spirit, that we might burn with passion for Christ and His Kingdom.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, the Mediator of the New Covenant, who has reconciled us to You through His blood. We thank You for the gift of salvation, for the indwelling Holy Spirit, and for the privilege of being co-laborers with You in the ministry of reconciliation. We ask that You would revive us, O Lord, and reform us according to Your Word. Let Your glory fill the earth as the waters cover the sea. Purify Your Bride, that she may be presented to Christ without spot or wrinkle. Empower us to walk in holiness, to proclaim the Gospel with boldness, and to make disciples of all nations.

Holy Spirit, we invite You to move mightily in our midst. Convict us of sin, lead us into all truth, and fill us afresh with Your power. Let us not grieve You by quenching Your work or resisting Your promptings. Instead, let us be vessels of Your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Use us to draw others to Christ, that they too may be reconciled to God and become part of Your holy Bride.

Jesus, our Bridegroom, we long for Your return. Prepare us for that glorious day when we will feast at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Until then, help us to live as a faithful and pure Bride, adorned with the righteous deeds that You have prepared for us (Revelation 19:8). Let our lives be a living testimony to Your grace, and let our words bring life to those who are perishing.

We declare that the earth will be filled with the knowledge of Your glory. We declare that the Church will rise up in power and purity. We declare that revival will come, and reformation will follow. For You are faithful, and Your promises never fail. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and through which we have access to the Father. Your prayer has risen like incense, and the very aroma of it is most sweet. You have pleaded for revival, for the washing of water by the Word, for the church to be made a pure bride, and these are no idle words, for they spring from the heart of God’s own purposes. It is a blessed thing when a soul craves sanctification, not as a garment woven with its own fingers, but as that spotless robe which Christ provides and the Spirit applies.

Yet let us ever keep first things first. You rightly recall that He loved us and washed us, the love came before the washing. There is no cleansing apart from the blood, no sanctification without reconciliation. The ministry we bear is not to invent a scheme of salvation, but to proclaim that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses. Every true revival begins here: sinners brought nigh by the finished work of the cross, then made holy by the indwelling Spirit. Beware of dreaming that sanctification is a gradual scrubbing of the old nature until it shines. No; holiness is the life of Christ in the soul, imparted by union with Him. As you plead for washing by the Word, remember it is the whole Christ, the Word made flesh and the Word written, that cuts like a sharp two-edged sword, dividing between soul and spirit. He puts to death the deeds of the body, not by your might or power, but by His Spirit.

The prayer for the bride to make herself ready pleases the Bridegroom, but let us never imagine the preparation is ours alone. He sanctifies her, having given Himself for her. Our waiting and watching consist in believing, abiding, and obeying, while the Spirit works in us both to will and to do. Without holiness no man shall see the Lord, but that holiness is not a fair corpse of morality; it is the living fruit of a faith that works by love. The Word tries you, as it tried Joseph, while the appointed time delays; yet the same Word will set you free. And when you faint under the weight of indwelling sin, look again to the blood that cleanseth from all sin, and hear the voice that says, “By one offering He hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.”

Go then, armed with the ministry of reconciliation. Preach the Gospel as a witness, not an inventor. The Father hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation; we are but ambassadors, beseeching men in Christ’s stead. Revival tarries where men trust in programs rather than the power from on high, and where the church forgets that her white linens are the righteousness of saints, wrought by the Spirit, evidenced in deeds of love. Plead for the fullness of the Spirit, for without His fiery baptism our efforts are but sounding brass. He will work in you mightily, not to puff up, but to make you a vessel meet for the Master’s use. Only take heed that in praying for holiness you never lean an inch upon your own attaining, for that would be to plunge into the ditch. Let your daily cry be, “Wash me, O Jesus, or I die.” So shall you see days of refreshing from the presence of the Lord, and many souls shall be gathered for the marriage supper of the Lamb.

Your prayer rises like incense, filled with the remembrance of God’s mighty works and a longing for the Bride to be made ready. You recall the great cloud of witnesses, the patriarchs and prophets, the reformers and revivalists, and rightly so, for what is this testimony but the good tidings themselves? Consider what those tidings accomplished: God on earth, man in heaven, the long war ended, reconciliation made between God and our nature, the devil shamed, death destroyed, sin put out of the way. This is the very foundation upon which you stand and from which you pray for a fresh outpouring. The ground has already been made level; the curse is blotted out. The same power that accomplished that miracle is the power you invoke for revival now.

But see how this prayer for washing by the water of the Word and for a church without spot or wrinkle touches the very heart of the mystery. The Bridegroom’s voice is what brings the Bride home, and that voice is teaching. Faith comes by hearing, and through the Word the Church is wedded to God. When you ask to be sanctified, to be cleansed by the truth, you are asking to stand and hear that voice, the voice of the Bridegroom Himself, which causes the friend of the Bridegroom to rejoice greatly. Your desire to be washed is a desire to be presented to Him, not by your own contrivance, but by the power of His Word. So, do not look for some new method, but return again and again to that voice which alone can cleanse. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly.

The cry for holiness without which no one will see the Lord is a cry for fellowship with Him in His reproach and therefore in His sanctification. He suffered without the gate, and His blood was carried into the true Holy Place. If you would be made holy, you must be willing to go forth to Him outside the camp, bearing the reproach He endured. The fine linens, the righteous deeds of the saints, are not woven by a sudden burst of human effort but are the patient, daily work of putting to death the deeds of the flesh by the Spirit. This is not a bloodless process. It is a dying, but a dying that leads to life. The holy church is a church that has learned this daily martyrdom, this quiet and resolute turning from the world’s applause to stand with Christ in His suffering, for that is where the Spirit’s sanctifying power burns brightest. Walk in this, and you will make yourself ready.

There is a profound mystery here, as you noted. The church is a garden enclosed, a spring shut up, a fountain sealed for Christ alone. He desires her beauty, and He is the one who creates it. We are not called to scrub ourselves clean by sheer willpower. We are called to surrender to the counsel of the Word. How many look for a prophetic word, a spiritual experience, or a supernatural sign to bring revival? Yet God says, "He who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully." The chaff of human excitement cannot compare to the wheat of the enduring Word. Revival that does not dig deep into the soil of the heart through Scripture is only surface-level; it looks alive for a moment but cannot stand under the heat of the day. True revival happens when our hearts begin to tremble at His Word and we let it reorder our loves.

Your prayer for the ministry of reconciliation is tied directly to this. When the bride is making herself ready, she cannot help but call others to the marriage supper. As the Spirit woos us and wins us to a deeper love for the Son, we become part of the servant’s mission, bringing others from the far country to meet the Bridegroom. The Word that quickens you out of the dust is the same Word you carry to those still sitting in darkness. You go not with eloquence, but with the simple, powerful seed of the gospel, knowing God watches over His Word to perform it.

Do not be afraid when the process feels slow. The running sore heals day by day under the water of the Word. There is a day coming when the final capstone will be cried, and the Bride will see her Groom rise to meet her. Until then, make His Word your counselor. Let it be a lamp to your feet. The Spirit uses no other agent to prepare a pure people for the Son. Trust that work, and continue praying from that place of deep, scriptural longing. The King desires your beauty, and He will complete what He has begun.
