Beloved
🧎🏻 Father, we thank You for the testimony of past revivals and even reformations, for revivalists and reformers, patriarchs, apostles and prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. We ask for revival and reformation in ourselves, our churches, families, friends and even all peoples, 1 Tim 2:1-2, for this pleases You, since You desire all people groups and positions to be saved and come to the knowledge of The Truth, 1 Tim 2:3-4.

📖 Jesus, revive and reform us, our pastors, leaders, churches, cities, regions, states, nations and indeed as You live, let all the earth be filled with Your glory, Numbers 11:24, Ps 72:19, even as the waters cover the seas, Isa 11:9. Hab 2:14. Shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, 2 Cor 4:6, enlighten the eyes of our understanding, Eph 1:17-18, love Y and let us be sanctified and washed in The Truth of the Water of Your Word, John 17:17, Eph 5:25-26, until You present us to Yourself as Your glorious church with no spot or wrinkle or any such blemish, Eph 5:27.

💨 Let it be, Holy Spirit, that we participate with Your sanctifying work, 1 Pet 1:2, so we may by The Spirit put to death the deeds of the flesh, Rom 8:13, and thus by not by our might, nor power, but by My Spirit, says The LORD, Zech 4:6, may we walk in the works You prepared in advance for us to do, Eph 2:10, and thus make ourselves ready as The Bride for Jesus Christ Our Husband, Rev 19:7, and receive the final capstone of white linens, pure and bright, for the fine linens are the righteous deeds of the saints, Rev 19:8...

It is through Jesus Christ The Mediator of this New Covenant, 1 Tim 2:5, inaugurated by the offering of Yourself once for all, Heb 12:24, we offer these prayers with thanksgiving for obtaining the eternal inheritance, Heb 9:15, in advance, Mk 11:24, for by a single offering He has made perfect for all time those who are being sanctified, Heb 10:14, so we may obey the eternal Gospel to fear God and give You glory, Rev 14:6-7, for if You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But with You is forgiveness, that You mayest be feared, Ps 130:3-4.

And lastly we thank You that You were in Christ by The Fullness of The Spirit without measure, Jn 3:34, reconciling the world back to Yourself, not counting our sins against us, and have given us the same ministry of reconciliation, 2 Cor 5:19. Help us do the work of an evangelist, and thus fulfill that ministry, 2 Tim 4:5. May we be serve You in our spirit in the preaching of the Gospel of Your Son, Rom 1:9, that we might bear much fruit, Jn 15:7-8, not only of The Holy Spirit, Gal 5:22-23, but a harvest of souls in order to bring others from the nations into Your sheepfold, Jn 10:16, helping You as Your helpmeets, gathering and calling others to come, Luke 14:21-23, to the Marriage Supper of The Lamb, Isa 25:6, Matt 22:1-2, and to the discipleship of sanctification by continually knowing Truth by continuing in Your Word, John 8:31-32, and continuing to patiently continue to call all of us to the holiness without which no one will see The Lord, Heb 12:14, as Your holy people, Your own possession, called out of darkness into Your marvelous light, enabling and emboldening us with Power from on High to be witnesses, Acts 1:8, proclaiming Your excellencies 1 Peter 2:9. Thank You Father, Thank You Jesus and Thank You Holy Spirit, 2 Cor 13:14, in Jesus' Name, Jn 14:13-14, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We join our hearts with yours in this powerful cry for revival, reformation, and sanctification, standing firmly on the truth of God’s Word. Your prayer echoes the deep longing of Scripture for the Bride of Christ to be made pure, holy, and radiant, without spot or wrinkle, prepared for her Heavenly Husband. How beautiful it is to see a heart that yearns not just for personal renewal but for the transformation of the Church, families, and nations under the glory of God!

The Word declares, "That he might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that he might present her to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish" (Ephesians 5:26-27 WEB). This is the heart of revival, not merely emotional experiences or temporary zeal, but a deep, abiding work of the Holy Spirit that cleanses, refines, and conforms us to the image of Christ through the truth of Scripture. We must never separate the call to revival from the call to holiness, for without holiness, "no one will see the Lord" (Hebrews 12:14 WEB). True revival is not just about numbers or excitement; it is about hearts being turned fully to God in repentance, obedience, and love.

We also lift up the ministry of reconciliation, as you so beautifully prayed. God has indeed "committed to us the word of reconciliation" (2 Corinthians 5:19 WEB), and this is not a passive calling. We are ambassadors for Christ, pleading with the world to be reconciled to God. Yet this ministry begins with us, are we ourselves walking in reconciliation with God and with one another? Are we living as peacemakers, or do we allow bitterness, division, or worldly compromise to hinder our witness? The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. We must ask the Lord of the harvest to send forth workers, and we must be willing to go ourselves, filled with the power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8 WEB).

There is a sobering truth we must confront: revival and reformation will not come without resistance. The enemy hates the light of God’s truth and will seek to distract, divide, or deceive. We must be vigilant, putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18 WEB) and standing firm against the schemes of the devil. This includes guarding our hearts against the subtle lies of the world, whether in the form of cultural compromise, false teaching, or the idolatry of self. Revival is not about making the Church more like the world; it is about making the world more like Christ.

We also lift up the leaders of the Church, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and all who bear the responsibility of shepherding God’s people. They are under immense spiritual attack, and many are weary or tempted to compromise. We pray that they would be strengthened by the Holy Spirit, rooted in the Word, and unwavering in their commitment to sound doctrine. May they preach the full counsel of God, not shrinking back from hard truths, and may they lead with humility, integrity, and love. "Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and in teaching" (1 Timothy 5:17 WEB).

Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20 WEB). We ask for a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit upon Your Church, reviving the lukewarm, awakening the lost, and empowering the faithful. Let Your glory fill the earth as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14 WEB). Cleanse us by the washing of Your Word, and make us vessels fit for Your use. Break every chain of sin, apathy, and unbelief in our lives, our families, and our churches. Raise up a generation that will walk in holiness, proclaim Your truth boldly, and love You with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength.

Lord Jesus, You are the Head of the Church, and we submit to Your lordship. We ask that You would purify Your Bride, that she may be without spot or wrinkle. Let us not be satisfied with anything less than Your perfect will. Holy Spirit, fill us afresh, empower us to walk in the works You have prepared for us, and lead us into all truth. May we be a people who reflect Your glory, who walk in love, and who make disciples of all nations.

We pray for the lost, that their eyes would be opened to see the beauty of Christ, that their hearts would be softened to receive the Gospel, and that they would be drawn to the foot of the cross. Let no one perish, but let all come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9 WEB). We pray for the nations, that rulers and authorities would be moved by Your Spirit to seek justice, righteousness, and peace. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Thank You, Father, for the privilege of being co-laborers with You in this great work. Thank You, Jesus, for Your finished work on the cross that makes revival possible. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for Your sanctifying power at work within us. We declare that the earth will be filled with the knowledge of Your glory, and we will not rest until we see Your kingdom come in fullness. May we be found faithful, fruitful, and ready when Christ returns for His Bride.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, we pray. Amen.

Your prayer is both a burden and a doxology, a cry for revival that rests on the finished work of Christ and the Spirit’s ongoing work in us. We are moved by your longing to see the church made ready and the nations gathered in.

In the sweep of such a big prayer, it can feel like the distance between where we are and the spotless Bride is vast. But sanctification rarely comes as a sudden wave; more often it arrives in quiet, daily surrenders. The Word washes us drop by drop as we open it, and the Spirit puts the deeds of the flesh to death not all at once but one honest confession at a time. When you pray “revive us” and “sanctify us,” remember that the us includes the very person who just prayed that prayer. Your own ongoing transformation, the small, faithful steps toward holiness, is already part of the answer.

This week, perhaps choose one area where you sense the Spirit nudging you toward greater conformity to Christ, and simply offer it to Him each morning. Ask Him to do what you cannot, and watch for the ordinary ways He may shape you. He is faithful to complete what He has begun.

We join you in these great petitions and also in the quiet, personal ones.

Prayer: Father, thank You for the fire You have placed in this child’s heart, a fire for revival, purity, and the gathering of souls. Continue Your sanctifying work in their life, not only in dramatic breakthroughs but in the hidden places of everyday obedience. Help them see the connection between the global awakening they long for and the faithfulness You are cultivating in their own soul. Use them as a reconciler, an introducer of others to Jesus, and a living witness to Your transforming grace. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The prayer that has ascended this day, laden with holy Scripture, is as incense before the throne. Yet let us not imagine that the sweet-smelling savor arises from our many words, but from the merit of Christ alone, in whom every promise is yea and amen. The cry for revival, for the washing of water by the Word, for sanctification of the Spirit, and for the ministry of reconciliation, all these are good and right, for they are according to the will of God. But mark well how the Lord is pleased to answer such petitions. He sends not ease and carnal comfort, but the very Word itself becomes a refiner's fire and a fuller's soap.

"The word of the Lord tried him." It assayed Joseph as gold is assayed; so it must be with every believer who would be presented as a chaste virgin to Christ. You have asked to be washed by the Word: know then that this washing is not always gentle to the flesh. The sword of the Spirit pierces to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. He who trembles at God's Word, not with a slavish fear, but with a reverent awe, is the man to whom the Lord will look. That trembling is a sign of grace, for the carnal heart trifles with Scripture as with a tennis ball, but the contrite spirit feels its weight. The Word is a burden to him who speaks it and to him who hears it aright, for it rebukes human pride, lays bare our secret sins, and demands a holiness that goes far beyond the surface of morality, even into the caverns of the great deep. Holiness is having a clean inside; and without holiness, no one shall see the Lord. Not with true doctrines only, but with a living, inward purity must we be adorned, else we pervert the truth into licentiousness.

The revival you long for will not come by might nor by power, but by the Spirit of the Lord. The Holy Spirit is the actual agent; the Word preached, and the prayers of the people, are the instruments. And when revival truly comes, the church grows more solemn, more serious, more separate from the world. It is not a frothy excitement, but a deep work of the Spirit, cleansing the thoughts and motives, causing us to put to death the deeds of the body. This sanctification is ours by the will of God, accomplished through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. The Father joins in that finished verdict: it is done. Yet that perfect work must be applied to us daily by the Holy Spirit. There is a daily washing of our feet by our Lord, without which we have no part with Him. He must first wash us; then we may wash one another's feet. The same Word that tries us in due time sets us free; the burden becomes the means of deliverance, and the sword that wounds is the balm that heals.

Pursue peace with all men, and holiness, for these are inseparable. The God of peace it is who sanctifies you wholly, and He will do it. Look not to your own strivings as though you could make yourself ready for the marriage supper. The fine linen, pure and bright, is the righteous deeds of the saints, yet these are wrought in us by the Spirit, not by the energy of the flesh. The Bride makes herself ready only as she receives of her Lord's own fullness. Therefore, let your prayer be turned into a quiet expectation and a childlike dependence. The Word of the Lord will assay you, but it will also sustain you. Continue in it, tremble at it, and let it dwell in you richly. Then shall you bear fruit, not only the clusters of the Spirit's graces, but a harvest of souls, as you fulfill the ministry of reconciliation. For the Lord was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and He has committed unto us the word of reconciliation. We are but voices beseeching men to be reconciled to God.

Go forth, then, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. The burden of the Word is heavy, yet it is a sacred trust. When you speak it, speak it with trembling, and when you hear it, hear it with reverence. The time will come when He who began a good work in you will perfect it. Until then, let patience have her perfect work, and count it all joy when you fall into divers trials, for by these the Word assays you, that you may come forth as gold. And this is the will of God, even your sanctification.
