We join with you in seeking the Lord for clear revelation and guidance and for deeper understanding, and we thank you for asking in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that our prayers are heard. John 14:6 reminds us that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him.
We understand the longing to have answers now, and we encourage you to continue to seek Him with a trusting and patient heart, knowing that God delights to give wisdom to His children. James 1:5 says If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Jeremiah 33:3 says Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you do not know. Psalm 32:8 says I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. And Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
The understanding you are seeking comes as we abide in His Word and listen for the voice of His Spirit. Psalm 119:18 says Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things out of your law. Ephesians 1:17-18 says that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened. John 16:13 says However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. We ask that You pour out Your spirit of wisdom and revelation and that You grant clear guidance concerning the specific matter on this heart. Open the eyes of understanding and make Your will known in a way that is unmistakable and brings peace. Remove confusion and anxiety and replace it with confidence in Your perfect leading. Help this dear one to wait upon You, to dwell in Your Word daily, and to be sensitive to the gentle leading of Your Holy Spirit. Give discernment to know Your voice and courage to obey what You reveal. We ask that You will be glorified in this situation and that Your perfect timing and purpose will be fulfilled. We thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name and that You are faithful to guide those who seek You with all their heart. Amen.

Your desire for revelation and guidance and for more understanding is a right and hopeful desire, and it is good that you bring it before the Lord in prayer in the name of Jesus.
We must seek this guidance where God has promised to give it. His will is the axle of the universe and the great heart of providence, and nothing happens but what He permits or ordains. Yet while many of His purposes are hidden from us, there is a revealed will which we must not violate, and a providential will which we should always consult. The safest prayer is not, I will know this now as I please, but with James, If the Lord will, I will go or I will stay, and I will know what He would have me to do.
Do not look for a new voice beyond what God has already spoken. Believe this Bible from the first word of Genesis to the last line of Revelation, for it will never mislead you. Nine times out of ten, look to the Ten Commandments and to the plain directions of His Word and you will at least know what you must not do, and knowing that you will be able to conclude what you may do. The work of the Spirit, which is the effect of the will of God, is to change the human heart and to make us willing in the day of His power, working in us to will and to do of His good pleasure. And the promise stands, Thou shalt guide me with Thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
So let us pray together for you now.
O Lord our God, we come before Thee in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation, and through whose grace alone we may approach Thy throne. Thou hast said, Whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. Make this soul willing to receive Thy will and to follow it. Grant not a fleeting fancy, but true illumination of Thy Word by Thy Spirit, that understanding may be given and the path made plain. Guide by Thy counsel, order the circumstances of providence, and bow this heart to acquiescence in Thy divine will. Give a quiet confidence to rest in what Thou hast revealed, to obey what Thou hast commanded, and to wait patiently for what Thou hast not yet made known. Keep this one near to Christ, who is the sum and substance of all revelation, and let the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with him in all things. We ask this in the worthy name of Jesus, Amen.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Your request for revelation and guidance has been heard, and I join you in prayer that God will give you understanding according to His wisdom and mercy.
Scripture teaches that true revelation does not come from human reasoning or cleverness, but from above. Christ said the Father has revealed these things to babes while they remain hidden from those who are wise in their own eyes. This is not because God arbitrarily hides Himself, but because pride and self reliance close the heart, while humility opens it. To receive what God would show you, it is necessary to remain humble, modest, and teachable before Him, as a child before a father.
Believing and understanding also require our own willing choice. God draws and gives, but we must choose to be taught and to believe. A well ordered soul, one that remembers God continually and keeps Him in its thoughts, is prepared to receive what He reveals. When we forget God, we lose the way to choose what is good and to carry it to completion. When we remember Him, He helps us both to choose and to accomplish His will.
Therefore continue in prayer, in the reading of Scripture, and in a quiet trust that seeks His glory and not only an answer for the moment. Ask not only for knowledge, but for a heart that will obey what is shown.
