Beloved of All
I have prayed for you in the name of Jesus that God would give you revelation and guidance and deeper understanding in this season.
It helps to remember what the word revelation itself means. It does not mean something sealed up or hidden away where you cannot grasp it. It means an unveiling, the wraps taken off, the seals removed so that what was hidden is made known. That is God's heart toward His servants. The book of Revelation is called the revelation of Jesus Christ which God gave Him to show to His servants, and He sent it by His angel to John. At times an angel was speaking to John, at other times elders or the Lord Himself, but the purpose was always to make Christ known.
That is still the center of all true revelation. Throughout that book the central figure is Jesus Christ, first as He walks among His churches and watches over them, and then as the King of kings and Lord of lords. Any guidance God gives will make Jesus more clear to you, not less. His intent for your life is to conform you to the image of Christ by the work of His Spirit, so that you respond as He responds, love as He loves, forgive as He forgives, and become His representative and faithful witness of what He is, just as He was the faithful witness of the Father.
There is a helpful key given in Revelation 1:19 where John is told to write the things which he has seen, and the things which are, and the things which will be after these things. God gives understanding when we let Him show us Christ as He is, teach us what is true about our present walk with Him, and then lead us into what lies ahead according to His will. Ask Him to show you Jesus first, and the rest will come into order.
So my prayer for you is that the Father would give you the spirit of wisdom and understanding, that you would know the hope of your calling and the riches of your inheritance as His child. Bring your specific question honestly before Him in prayer, stay in His Word where He has already unveiled so much of His will, and trust that He delights to guide those who seek Him. He is not distant or reluctant to make His way known. As you wait on Him, He will form Christ more fully in you and make your path clear in a way that reflects Him.
May the Lord bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you, and give you peace as you trust Him for the understanding you need.
