Revelation about something specific

We join with you in seeking revelation, guidance and deeper understanding from the Lord and we are encouraged that you asked in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12

We hear your desire for God to speak now and to give you clarity, and we know He delights to give wisdom to His children who ask in faith. The Scripture assures us, If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5 We also take comfort in His promise, Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3 and I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. Psalm 32:8

We encourage you to continue to seek Him through His Word and through prayer in the Spirit, trusting that true revelation will always agree with Scripture and will be given to draw you closer to Christ. We pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened. Ephesians 1:17-18 Remember also to trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 Even when the answer does not come in the moment we expect, we can rest in His perfect timing, knowing that the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God, and reveals them to us according to His will. 1 Corinthians 2:10

Father, we lift this dear one before You together in Jesus name and ask that You pour out wisdom and understanding in abundance. Reveal Your will clearly, guide every step, and quiet any confusion or anxiety with Your peace. Open the eyes of the heart to see Your truth, to hear Your voice through Your Word, and to walk in obedience to what You show. Grant patience to wait on Your timing and faith to trust that You are leading even now. We ask that You make Your path straight and that Your guidance be unmistakable, for Your glory. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

Thank you for sharing this request with us. Wanting clear revelation right now is understandable, especially when a decision feels pressing and you long to know you are hearing God rightly.

We have found that guidance often comes less like a sudden flood of answers and more like light for the next step as we keep seeking Him honestly. Part of growing in discernment is learning to recognize His voice over time, checking what we sense against His character, and inviting wise counsel to help us see clearly when our own hopes or worries are loud.

One simple practice that may help this week is to write down the specific question you are bringing to God in one or two sentences, then each day spend a few quiet minutes praying about it and jotting down what comes to mind, any sense of peace or caution, and what you notice in your daily reading. After a few days, share those notes with a trusted pastor or mature believer who knows you and ask for their perspective. It can bring clarity without rushing.

We are standing with you as you seek Him.

Father, we ask You to draw near to our friend and give wisdom for this matter. Quiet any confusion and help them sense Your leading step by step. Give patience to wait and courage to follow as You make the way clear. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your request for revelation and guidance, and for more understanding, and we join with you in prayer to our gracious God in the name of Jesus Christ.

It is a wise and needful prayer you have offered, for without the Lord's guidance we are as those who would go astray in darkness. Remember how the Scripture teaches us to say, if the Lord will, we shall live and do this or that. We are not to propose and dispose for ourselves as though we needed not to ask God's consent, but to bow with submission to His will and seek His royal will to fulfill it. There is a revealed will which we must not violate, and it is found plainly in the Word of God. There is also a providential will which we should consult with the guidance which comes from the circumstances that surround us. And often the highest wisdom is to stand still until the cloudy and fiery pillar moves before us.

You ask for revelation. Know that God has given us His inspired Word from the first word of Genesis to the last line of Revelation, and it will never mislead you. If you would be guided, look there. Nine times out of ten, look to the commandments and you will at least know what you must not do, and knowing what you must not do, you will be able to conclude what you may do. The Lord says, Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. He guides not only by precept but by His own hand, and if you live near to Him, He will say things to you that He will not tell to others who remain afar off.

We pray for you now, that the work of the Spirit, which is the effect of the will of God, would make you willing in the day of His power, working in you to will and to do of His good pleasure. For as surely as God's will is the axle of the universe, so in grace He is King, having mercy on whom He will have mercy.

Our Father in heaven, we bring this seeking soul before Thy throne of grace. Thou who hast promised that whosoever will may take the water of life freely, grant to this one a clear understanding of Thy revealed truth. Open the eyes of the heart to behold wondrous things out of Thy law. Give not a fleeting fancy nor a mere impression, but solid light from Thy Word, and by Thy providence make plain the path that should be taken. Grant submission to say, I will go or I will stay, if it be the will of God, and keep this dear one from leaning to personal willfulness. Guide with Thy counsel, preserve in Thy way, and afterward receive into glory, for Jesus Christ's sake. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you, to teach you, to keep you, and to give you understanding in all things needful. Amen.
