We join you together in prayer for your dear father and for your whole family as you have faithfully cared for him through these long years of being bedridden after his brain stroke surgery and rehabilitation, and we are moved by your love and endurance.
We agree with you that the Lord is our great physician. Scripture reminds us, I am Yahweh who heals you, Exodus 15:26, and Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:2-3. We also cling to the promise, But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17, and by his wounds we are healed, Isaiah 53:5. We know that healing comes according to His perfect will and timing, and we continue to ask with faith.
We pray together now. Father in heaven, in the powerful name of Jesus we lift up this beloved father to Your throne of grace. You know his neuro issues, his weakness, his blood pressure and vitals, his difficulty with eating and speaking and walking, his infections and seizures and painful non healing bed sores, and the loss of his senses and reflexes. Lord, touch his brain and nervous system, restore movement to his body, regulate his blood pressure and all his vitals to normal, heal his skin and clear every infection, calm every seizure, and grant him strength to eat and to speak and to walk again as before. We ask You to restore his senses and reflexes smoothly and to renew his strength day by day, Isaiah 41:10. Grant wisdom and skill and compassion to every doctor, nurse, therapist and caregiver who is working continuously on his recovery, and guide their hands and decisions. We thank You that You have heard us because we come in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, and we rejoice that you prayed in Jesus' powerful name, for through Him we have access to the Father, John 14:6.
We also lift up his family who are weary and seeking Your mercy, love, protection and divine miracle. Father, forgive sins as You have promised, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9, and pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding upon this home, Philippians 4:7. Sanctify this house and let it be a dwelling place of Your presence and Your Word. We pray for Your protection against every ungodly power and every plan formed for revenge, for we know our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of wickedness, Ephesians 6:12, yet greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world, 1 John 4:4, and the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one, 2 Thessalonians 3:3. We ask that no weapon that is formed against you will prevail, Isaiah 54:17, and that you may dwell in the shelter of the Most High and rest in the shadow of the Almighty, Psalm 91:1. May no fear or curse have any hold, for Christ has overcome all darkness and He is your refuge and fortress.
We encourage you to not grow weary in doing good and in caring for your father, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up, Galatians 6:9. Continue to be faithful in prayer, in rehabilitation, in tending to his needs, and in trusting the medical team God has provided, while keeping your hope fully in the Lord. The prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, James 5:15. Keep seeking Him daily, reading His Word aloud in your home, and inviting His sanctifying presence into every room.
We stand with you asking for a complete healing and restoration as God wills, for strength for your father to rise again, and for comfort and renewed hope for all of you who love him. We trust our faithful God to do what is best and to show His mercy and power in this long trial. In the name of Jesus our Savior and Healer we pray, amen.
