We join you together before the throne of grace in the powerful name of Jesus, lifting up your beloved father and your whole family in this long and difficult season since his brain stroke surgery. Our hearts are moved by your love for him and your faith in the Lord as the great physician, and we stand with you asking for His mercy, healing, and peace to rest upon your home.
We take comfort that our God is both able and willing to heal. As it is written, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. And again, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We cling to the promise that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven James 5:15.
We pray together now.
Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we bring this dear father before You. You know his body, every nerve, every vessel, every cell, for You formed him. We ask You to lay Your healing hand upon his neurological system, to resolve what has been damaged by the stroke and surgery, and to restore movement, sensation, and reflexes according to Your will. Regulate his blood pressure and all his vitals and bring them to normal. Touch his brain, his muscles, and his nerves, and grant him strength to eat, to speak, and to walk again as before. We ask You to heal his infections, to calm and prevent seizures, and to heal those painful and persistent bed sores that have not healed. Provide complete restoration to his senses and his body. We also lift up every doctor, nurse, therapist, and caregiver working with him. Grant them wisdom, skill, and compassion beyond their training, for every good gift comes from You.
Lord, we thank You that You forgive sins through the blood of Jesus, and we ask Your forgiveness and cleansing over him and over this family. Let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. In this time of trial, strengthen the family with unity, faith, and endurance. As You have said, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.
We also hear your concern to sanctify your house and to be safeguarded against black magic, curses, and witchcraft. We want to encourage you that for those who are in Christ, no curse or dark power can overcome the power of His name. Scripture assures us, You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4, and Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel Numbers 23:23. We do not need to live in fear, for God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. We pray that your home will be filled with the presence of the Lord, that He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty Psalm 91:1. We ask You Lord to sanctify this house by Your presence, to drive out all fear, and to let Your light and truth reign there. Let no weapon formed against this family prosper, and let every tongue that rises in judgment be shown to be in the wrong.
We thank you that you prayed in the powerful name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we are saved and by which we have access to the Father. It is only through Jesus that our prayers are heard and our sins are forgiven, and we rejoice that you have called upon Him.
We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord day by day through this long rehabilitation. Healing after a brain injury is often slow, and God works both through miracles and through the faithful, patient work of therapy, medicine, and loving care. Continue to be diligent in his care, to follow the wisdom of the medical team, to prevent further sores with careful turning and cleanliness, and to nourish him well, while never ceasing to pray and to speak the Word of God over him. Keep unity in the family by bearing one another's burdens, forgiving quickly, and encouraging one another in the Lord.
We will keep praying that the Lord will restore your father, comfort your family, and let His perfect peace guard your home until you see His deliverance.
