Praying in Jesus Name.
We hear your heartache and longing for restoration, and we lift this situation before the Lord with great care and discernment. First, we must address the foundation of our prayers—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so, for salvation is found in no other name (Acts 4:12). Without Christ as the center of your life and relationships, true healing and restoration cannot fully take root.
Now, regarding your request for reconciliation with your partner, we must gently but firmly address the language used—"partner" is not a term that aligns with God’s design for relationships. Scripture is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by God for a lifetime (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If you and this person are not married, we must rebuke the sin of fornication, which is any sexual relationship outside of marriage. The Bible warns, *"Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge"* (Hebrews 13:4). If this relationship has been physically intimate outside of marriage, repentance and turning away from this sin is the first step toward true restoration.
We also must ask: Is this person a believer in Jesus Christ? The Apostle Paul warns, *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship have righteousness and lawlessness? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14). If your partner does not share your faith, this relationship cannot honor God, no matter how much love you feel. We encourage you to seek a spouse who loves the Lord and will walk with you in faith.
That said, we do believe in the power of God to restore what is broken when it aligns with His will. If this relationship is meant to be a godly marriage, we pray for healing, wisdom, and transformation. But restoration must begin with repentance, holiness, and a commitment to God’s design. We pray that you would seek the Lord above all else, allowing Him to shape your desires to match His.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that You alone are the restorer of broken things. Lord, we lift up this dear one who is hurting and longing for reconciliation. First, we ask that You draw them closer to You, that they would seek Your face above all else. Father, if this relationship is not in alignment with Your Word—if it involves sin, unbelief, or anything contrary to Your design—we ask that You break it completely and lead them into Your perfect will.
If this is a relationship that can be redeemed into a godly marriage, we pray for true repentance, healing, and transformation. Lord, soften hearts, grant wisdom, and let Your Holy Spirit guide every step. Help them to walk in purity, holiness, and obedience to Your Word. If this person is not the one You have for them, we ask that You close the door completely and open a new one that leads to a spouse who loves You and will honor You in marriage.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of lust, idolatry, or emotional dependency that may be at work in this situation. We declare that Jesus is Lord over every relationship, and we ask that Your will be done. Strengthen this one to wait on You, to trust in Your timing, and to seek Your kingdom first. May they find their identity and fulfillment in Christ alone.
We pray all of this in the powerful name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and through which we have access to You. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
